The toddler programs offer very young children a unique year of self-development in a special atmosphere of understanding, respect and support. The toddler classroom is simpler and slower-paced than the three- to six-year-old class but still strong in teaching the Montessori Method. Using Montessori methods and philosophy, our preschool program teaches each child how to learn rather than simply what to learn.
Introduced to reading, writing, math and cultural concepts, each child receives individualized lesson plans based on their abilities and strengths. Our elementary program provides challenging curriculum based on lesson plans focusing on the strengths and interests of each child. Children are encouraged to take responsibility for their learning in an environment of respect, independence and accomplishment.

The Montessori approach is often described as an "education for life." When we try to define what children take away from their years in Montessori, we need to expand our vision to include more than just the basic academic skills. My son completed Pre-K and Kindergarten program at MCDS and my daughter is currently enrolled in the Pre-K program. The management and staff is friendly, communicative, and flexible. The teachers are outstanding. They work with each child with patience and love while maintaining a focus on their academic, social, and emotional growth.

My little bear is 18 months old and currently attends MCDS three mornings per week. We started out with two mornings, but he was doing so well and enjoying it so much that we added an extra day.
The staff and teachers were very supportive and encouraging to this First Time Mom who was apprehensive about putting my baby boy in school for the first time.
I know he is well cared for, is learning, playing and having fun. While I miss him, I am confident he is in the best place for his growth and development. I am so pleased with MCDS and look forward to seeing my little one grow and learn even more

Where do I start? Our boys started attending MCDS in February of 2019 and we instantly fell in love. To us MCDS is part of our family and not just a school. The owners, directors and all of the teachers are simply amazing and truly love what they do. On top of that, our children are not only gaining an excellent education but they’re also learning life skills that will carry them on into adulthood. We had searched around for a while before someone introduced us to the school and I couldn’t be more grateful. I’ve always loved learning and hoped my kids would too but with MCDS, it’s so much

We couldn’t love MCDS more! The teachers are smart, gentle, happy, experienced and everyone is fully committed to the Montessori approach. Our daughter has grown so much since she started and has become more confident and independent - all with the help of her supportive and patient teachers. We're so lucky this school exists!

We love this school! Our daughter learned more than we could have ever imagined here and were so glad we found it. We had to move away and it’s just one of those things you love even more after it’s gone! The staff is great and take and individual approach to your child and are always available. I highly recommend this school.

This school is a wonderful place to educate children. All 3 of my kids went here from ages 2-5. They were all well prepared to enter Public School Kindergarten and had excellent teachers the whole time they attended. All the staff and teachers are very patient and kind. You can tell that they really love their jobs and that makes a huge difference when educating small children. This is a great school and I love everything about it!

I can't say enough about this school, and would encourage anyone to schedule a tour if you're considering options. Both of my sons have been MCDS students, and received a solid foundation that has given them a head start on their educational journey. I love knowing they are in a warm, caring, safe and secure environment with teachers who love what they do and owners who truly care about providing the very best Montessori education. We have been at MCDS since summer of 2014 and have not looked back since. MCDS came highly recommended by two families and did not disappoint. I could not have found a better environment for my son to thrive in. The teachers and staff are knowledgable, loving and wonderful, and constantly challenge my son to learn and grow.

When we relocated to the area 3 1/2 years ago, MCDS was our first choice for our then 2 yr old daughter. She had only been left with family up to that point and her whole world was shook up moving so far away from relatives. She cried every day for the first 2 months, but the staff did a fabulous job of consoling and redirecting her. She is now a kindergartener at MCDS and this has been the healthiest experience we could have asked for. The work she does here is so far ahead of local public schools, there are no "mean kids", and everyone is taught to be respectful of one another and their environment
