Services
Smuggler Mountain starts out as a popular uphill hiking trail, but once you get to the viewing deck the people start to disappear and the single track fun begins. B.T.S. Trail, Lollipop Trail and Tootsie Roll Trail all start after you've completed the Smuggler fire road climb. Descend into Hunter Creek and you'll be rewarded with an exit back to town or multiple extensions.
One of the most photographed scenic areas in America, Maroon bells is a must when visiting Aspen. You'll cycle almost 2,000 vertical feet in 10 miles and love every moment of your ride. Because of a seasonal road closure, traffic is at a low from 8am-5pm. Thanks to a silver rush that boomed in the 1880's we have Castle Creek Road.

What a great experience we had at Aspen Bicycles with Patrick the new owner. He fit the electric bikes to us perfectly for our ride to Basalt and back. What a way to ride! Best money we spent in Aspen on a fun day out and about.

Returned the bike a little late and they were very nice about it (I got lost going to return it). They were closing and didn't tell me why did you make me wait or anything. We are just visiting and asked if the bikes will make it to maroon bells. They told us you can get a regular bike or an ebike but they are both good. I got the ebike and it was amazing. My husband got the regular bike and he was sooooo tired but the end. They should warn the people if they are asked about the trails and how long they are or they should simply say I don't know or it's up to you.

I rented a baby carrier for my personal bike for a two day rental. The carrier was great and the service we received was outstanding! Michael made sure my bike was set up perfectly for the carrier even inflating my tires to make sure we were safe on the road. I don't think I've ever had such friendly service from a bike shop. I would definitely rent from them again!

Couldn't say more good things about this shop. Patrick and his team are helpful and friendly. In less than a day, they assembled and tuned two bikes for my wife and I so we could enjoy them over the long weekend. Thank you again Aspen Bicycles and we will be shopping with you again soon.

For starters Mr Patrick Dietz, the proprietor of Aspen Bicycles on Mill street across from the Wheeler OH is a very nice person. He is devoting his profound knowledge about road, mountain bikes and their ancillaries to serving unselfishly the best needs of his clients even at the expense of forgoing a sale. In the process of multiple transactions he always assisted me in a fair and exemplary manner. Many thanks Patrick,

Great service and very friendly staff! Bikes were also in great condition. I highly recommend this place. My one complaint was that we had to pay a taxi to take the bikes back from Woody Creek Tavern back to Aspen. I know, some of the other companies will pick up there complimentary. That said, I would rent again because the owner was so lovely and flexible with our timing!

We rented performance road bikes over July 4 weekend. Patrick's attention to detail was impeccable, from confirming our bike sizes and bike cleats days before we arrived to making sure we were ready to go when we picked up the bikes. We will be back for the dozens more rides we want to do in the Aspen area!

Great service and very nice equipment. We got 2 bikes with trail-a-long bikes attached for my daughters and a mountain bike for my son. Very reasonably priced and easy to get to (right next to gondolas). We've used other bike shops in the past and this is the best one by far! Highly recommend.

I rented a hybrid for the day and tide to Basalt. About 40 miles. Anyway the shop staff especially the owner Patrick are super helpful. I had to get one of his awesome jerseys. Patrick stresses he only rent hi end mtn bikes and carbon road bikes. He also has the basic hybrid i rented, $34/day in 6-17.

Came in here on a busy Saturday in the middle of summer needing a little help with wifey's bike. Someone (me) had done some amateur adjusting and repairing to her ride and it it needed to be fixed. We really couldn't have gone on riding without it getting fixed, and the owner was, thankfully, able to jump right on it, throw in a spacer on the steering tube and send us on our way. He was slammed between rentals and all kinds of other stuff and could have easily turned us away, but he didn't.

Thank you very much for your help, we will be back next time we are in town!

Friendly shop that doesn't make you feel like they're doing you a favor by accepting your business and dollars. They do what they say they'll do and they do it when they say they will. Patrick says, "Thank you" and he means it. That goes a long way in a town (and category) where customer service is sometimes lacking.

I called the night before for a rental and Patrick had it all ready to go when I showed up at 7am on the dot. He's friendly and knowledgeable, yet got me in & out of the shop very efficiently since I had some time constraints. The bike (a carbon LaPierre with Shimano 105) was a buttery ride, fit me (5'2") well, and good value on such a nice bike at $45/half day. It looked like he had some nice MTB options as well.

Between the awesome owner, quality bikes that actually fit smaller women, and 7am opening time in summers, I'm a fan.
