Unlike the majority of other cancers, oral cancer 5-year survival rates have not improved over the past 20 years. That is because many cases are found too late. Most cancerous lesions can now be detected at a precancerous stage and treated easily. At Davis County Dental & Orthodontics we strive to make your visit and any recommended treatment as comfortable as possible. One way to accomplish this is with nitrous oxide or laughing gas. This safe and effective method of anxiety reduction makes dental treatment a tolerable if not pleasurable experience for most patients.
Sometimes, a filling just isn't enough. If a filling becomes too large, a tooth fractures, or a tooth becomes discolored then a crown or onlay may be treatment planned. My mom is in Hospice care and her regular dentist had sold his business during COVID. We needed a dentist to check her out as some tenderness had developed in her mouth and she was unable to eat solid food. Because of her health situation it was something we needed done soon. The entire staff from receptionist to dentist was excellent. Their attitude was professional AND caring. Two qualities that are sometimes hard to balance. Thank you Davis County Dental for taking such good care of my mom.
