We stopped by for a drink and to see the venue for a dinner we're having for some family and friends. Sean was so incredibly kind and accommodating. He showed us the room we would use as well as the overnight spaces, in case we, or any of our guest wanted them. Offered up a current menu as an idea of what our might look like. It was such an informative and pleasant experience, we made our decision right there at the bar over a couple pints of Guiness! Couldn't recommend this place more highly. 👌

I would award zero stars if it was an option. Manager’s behavior was shocking. Our group spent nearly $1,000 on dinner. The bill was picked up by a recent arrival from Europe. He included a tip that was adequate but not up to the amount the manager thought was needed (let’s say there was a $50 difference). Rather than deal with it quietly and calmly, this guy decided to take the approach of public humiliation and announced loudly that this isn’t how things are done in America. Our group was taken aback. When we tried to speak to him about it, he retreated to his office “ to do paperwork”

We were visiting Philadelphia, so we rented a car and drove to Valley Forge. While looking at maps, we saw this small hotel and decided to spend the night and eat at their restaurant—it was great! The room was a good size and well appointed. We had dinner outside and the meal was excellent and the setting was very peaceful. The staff were very helpful as well.

Charming restaurant, good food and service, but… on a busy night, it may take you 15 minutes or more to find a parking space, going in and out of driveways, making U-turns in dead end parking areas, searching in various disconnected parking areas. I mentioned this difficulty to the manager when I entered the restaurant, and his only response was that this is what happens when you have a successful restaurant. He couldn’t care less.

The food, ambiance, and service here was amazing. We sat outside and the grounds were so pretty and it had such a nice atmosphere. Our server Cory was so knowledgeable and nice. I ordered the Baked Fontina Cheese and Truffled Filet Tips for appetizers and they were great! For my main I had the Salmon, and I loved it! For dessert I had the apple crisp and a desert cocktail. Such a nice Friday night dinner!

Historical restaurant and inn located in Malvern Pa. This building dates back before the revolutionary war 1745. My wife and I last dined there to celebrate our anniversary. It is a favorite of ours for dinners with friends and family. They have an excellent menu with seasonal changes and locally influenced additions. Reservations are reccomended.

We had the table 1745 for a team dinner. Great ambience and perfect setting for a first time gathering since COVID. Eric provided excellent table service, and we really enjoyed the food.
Can't believe this was first time to this restaurant for those in our dinner party. AlI said definitely will return.

We had a memorial luncheon here. The owner was highly responsive, helpful, and very personable. He was very flexible and accommodating. He managed to pull everything together when are expected attendance doubled from about 35 to 70. He managed to move things around and make everything go flawlessly. The food was excellent and the setting was beautiful. The wait staff managed to consistently be there the minute you needed them but never seemed to be in the way or impede the flow of events. We could not have asked for a better afternoon.

I recently stayed at the General Warren Inne for 3 nights and i couldn't be happier with my stay and the 2 dinners i had. My room was comfortable and charming, definitely has the Inne feel. I will stay there again.

Came here for a girls night and was so happy we did! We made a reservation and were sat promptly. We were seated in an outdoor tent full of lights and heaters to keep guests warm. They also have an option to reserve private igloo tents.
To start, our table ordered the flatbread to begin. All of the Mediterranean flavors worked well together for a delightful appetizer.
For dinner, I had the malvern dip- served with fries and au jus for dipping. The meat was tender and the whole meal was delicious.
As a drink (and dessert) I ordered a birthday cake martini- so sweet and delicious topped with

Typically we enjoy this spot very much but lately the food in the service has been just a little bit too spotty for our liking still we are devoted to it because it's such a wonderful historical spot. We'd like to see a little bit more of a variety on the menu that covers different types of foods versus just a very typical American. A suggestion would be to salads and then a choice of two soups and then two different types of appetizers and the main courses seems to be a good mix. The scones that we can take away are actually phenomenal as is their take away drinks.

Have not been here in years but so glad I recently made up for that. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here a few weeks ago. The outdoor seating was just perfect and completely decorated for Fall. The lighting and fire pit added to the ambiance. The service and food presentation was top notch. We both loved our meals...the halibut over pesto mashed potatoes was a highlight. They were trying out a new Fall drink menu. I recommend the cider mimosas.

Very enjoyable dinner. Went around 4 and it wasn't crowded, but you should make a reservation.
The steak was very good and so was the pork chop dish. We had the cannoli cake for dessert and split it. Splitting was perfect because it's very rich, but yummy.
Everything was very well socially distanced. No concerns regarding covid safety. Very nice menu; our meals were cooked perfectly. Will go again.

Wanted a nice lunch in a white tablecloth historic setting and the General Warren fit the bill. This Inn was built in 1745. Troops from Washington's army camped here and troops from Lord Cornwallis division stoped here on the way to the battle of Paoli.
The very comfortable old world dining room gave you a feeling of what it may have been like to have a meal here during the revolution.
Started out with a very tasty Snapper Soup with Sherry on the side. I would have liked a bit more snapper meat but I enjoyed it with the crisp hot home made rolls.

Steak frites - too salty and the steak was on the cold side. Best part of the entree was the truffle French fries.
A friend ordered the braised rib sandwich, which they didn't really like too much.
Cheesecake - tasted as expected. Was good
Snickerdoodle creme brûlée - was ok. I wouldn't order it again.
Would I come back? - no thanks.
The service was good though.
