Blue Sparrow Counseling
Thank you for visiting Blue Sparrow Counseling! I am here to treat the unique needs of each individual. I provide counseling services for adolescents, adults and families. I believe in the importance of your mental health and quality of life. I feel the importance of establishing rapport, trust, empathy, and unconditional positive regard in the therapeutic relationship is crucial in order to meet your needs.

I understand in this fast paced society that time is valuable and limited. I firmly believe that your emotional and mental health is very important in order to bring about greater peace and balance in your life and to the lives of your families and loved ones. I will tailor each individual treatment plan to the needs of your child and/or adolescent and use creative ways to do so.

Location Details: Blue Sparrow Counseling is located in the historic Hartley Mansion. For parking, please utilize available street parking in front of the building. When you arrive for your first appointment, I will either be there to greet you inside the front door or feel free to make yourself comfortable in the living area to your left.
Coverage varies greatly, but your services may be covered in part or in full by your insurance provider. Please contact your health insurance plan to learn more about what your plan covers. We will also verify your benefits prior to your first session. Please have your insurance information available when you are calling to make an appointment if you desire to use it.
We cater sessions to each individual's needs. Clients can have individual, couples, or family sessions, in any combination. During the initial appointment, we will discuss the various options and choose one that works best for you. This arrangement is flexible and will likely change throughout our relationship, depending on your needs.
Adolescence typically describes the years between ages 13 and 19 and can be considered the transitional stage from childhood to adulthood. However, the physical and psychological changes that occur in adolescence can start earlier, during the preteen or "tween" years (ages 9 through 12). Adolescence can be a time of both disorientation and discovery.
