Hoodsport produces limited bottlings of award winning Washington State wines. This includes traditional vinifera varietals such as Chardonnay, Cabernet and Madeleine Angevine. Hoodsport features smaller productions of unique varieties like, Island Belle. Hoodsport's fruit and varietal grape wines have won top awards in international competitions.
We also make Cordial Style Wines. Bella Cranberry, Stella Raspberry and Loganberry Dream. These aromatic wines are full bodied with an intense fresh fruit taste. Hoodsport Winery is experiencing a shortage of their fruit and berry wines. However, The fruit and berry production will resume in 2019. Other wines including grape varietals are available on-line and at Hoodsport Winery, Inc. on a rotating basis.

Totally skip this place over!! Their $50/bottle wine is worth maybe $20/bottle…it’s seriously juice with a splash of alcohol. Prairie Berry winery in South Dakota makes better stuff cheaper!!
Second…they only let you taste what’s open, it’s fricken $5/person to taste a small splash and they use Dixie cups (not even a new Dixie cup each time)
Hard pass on coming here again…I’d take box wine and spend the extra money you save on some steaks

Very rarely do I feel like a business deserves a zero or a negative star. Based on experience today, I cannot recommend this place. First, the "tasting room" had just one wine to taste. Second, no price labels on wines. When asked about the price, quoted prices were much higher than online. No explanation provided about the discrepancy. Third, all prices mentioned were over $50 per bottle. Since no tasting was offered for any wine but one, it was difficult to assess whether to purchase the quoted price particularly since we purchased a better tasting (to us) wine at the Fletcher Bay

We had a very medium experience drinking the wine, mead, and cider we purchased here.
The experience of buying it was nice as the woman was extremely knowledgable and helpful. There was a bit of shellshock when we got three bottles of booze for 80 bucks.
Drinking it wasn't very fun as they all tasted a little off. Not as though they had gone bad but like they were made by your neighbor in a garage as opposed to a winery.
Very weird.

Less than impressed!! I love fruit wines and hadn’t been in a while thought I’d give it a go...zero customer service, no talking up the wines or encouraging a tasting...I had to do that. Enjoyed the Cuvée from Willamette Valley but at 35.00 a bottle!! Yikes!! This winery should be more than it is...Maybe an organized tasting, a little face lift, a tour...show some pride in the product!! Its too bad because the wines can sell themselves!!

I wish I had checked Yelp before we stopped. Great location and was excited to try regional grapes as WA has some amazing wines. The tasting room felt cluttered and dingy. The tasting was $8 and they were in small, stemless glasses and pours were basically a sip. Very skimpy pour. The white wines were sweet, but decent. The reds- borderline sour. We had decided to get a bottle ahead of the tasting to wave the fee of tasting and got one of the whites- $36??? We found another tasting room down the road and it only amplified the disappointing experience here.

Been visiting this place with visiting friends and relatives from all over the country in the 20 years I've lived in PNW. Their wines are seasonal berry flavors to blended reserves of the higher end. This is a small storefront, but still family-owned. I've met Europeans, Australians, Pacific Islanders, and east Asians here to visit Hoodsport Winery. The owners young adult grandchildren assist customers some weekends and breaks from college. Today, my friend and I met Tish who was exceptional at assisting us in putting together a cache of fruity seasonals and blends of Reserve-quality, as well as

We went there with a Groupon deal, and found that they offer a better deal directly. If you buy something, you get your wine tasting fee back. Regardless, we did not feel welcomed. On the phone, the staff had said they were extremely busy, and it was hard to get an appointment for a wine tasting. Upon arrival, there were no other customers, and we were told they had a total of 3 wine tastings that day. The staff was yawning as if they were bored, and seemed to want to hurry us out of there and on our way. The wine tastings were offered in a back utility room, were very skimpy, and their bottles

I was excited to stop by this winery but ended up being very disappointed. First, there was no tasting list. What am I drinking? The server seemed to be very talkative about everything BUT wine and would interrupt herself now and then to say "oh this is the pinot wine." About half the tasting was reds/whites and half were fruit wines

I still like the rhubarb; however, I feel like either my taste buds are growing up or Hoodsport wine is not evolving.
The winery in Hoodsport is small and quaint. My only complaint is that the staff doesn't seem eager to please. Almost as if they must be there to pour wine rather than wanting to be there to educate the customers.
Hoodsport Winery is still a must stop if you are passing through town.

We went to the winery while staying on a weekend trip in Shelton, WA. I had been there before and it was tasty and not too expensive.
We went in about 5pm on a Saturday evening. We did some tastings from a young man, that was a rather reluctant host. It seems like he may have had a long day of tastings and was kind of done by the time we got there. He was very polite but clearly not interested. I'll give him that, we've all had days like that.
We tasted a few wines and each decided to purchase a bottle my bf ordered a merlot and I ordered a pinot gris.
We paid and left. When

Fruit wines are their specialty.
We went this past weekend to a private tasting at the Hoodsport Winery off of Highway 101 on the Olympic Penninsula. The six of us sampled a nice assortment of the wines (white and red grape wines and a couple fruit wines) marketed and sold by the winery. Since this was a private tasting, we also had light snacks paired with the wines. I think we all enjoyed the fruit wines that we sampled better than the grape wines - we'd tried loganberry, raspberry (sweet!), and apple (not bad - sort of like a cider).
The facility is not much to look at, but you can
