We were at Mustang island, my husband got sick and to be hospitalized. We had been there 2 weeks. They let us stay one more day.
I went by this rv park and they had 2 spots left. One worked perfectly. They are so friendly and very helpful.
Thanks so much the Shipps

Wonderful RV park! We’ve been here since July and have no intention of leaving anytime soon. Something that really stands out to me about here is how well it’s maintained. You can tell the owners make sure everything is running smoothly. The staff is very friendly and helpful and if you need recommendations for something, they are a great resource.

Well, we decided to pull the travel trailer to Corpus Christi for a little vacation. The staff there are great people and easy to deal with. The campground was nice and clean. The location was perfect close to Padre Island and only minutes away from Corpus Christi.

This was the best RV park as well as place to live one could desire. Staff was friendly, consistent, responsive, and helpful. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Other residents were friendly and their equipment was well maintained as well. The location on Waldron Road has all you could want in terms of everyday retail needs and conveniences; and the beach is close as well -- but so is the rest of Corpus Christi, just a hop onto the freeway away. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a peaceful and clean, safe place to live in beautiful Corpus Christi, TX.

Love this place. Clean and well maintained, it's 10'ish minutes away from the beaches on Padre Island and 15'ish minutes away from North Beach where the USS Lexington and Aquarium are. Stellar WiFi too, a very reliable 10MBs was available to me for streaming and to get my work done 24/7. I would definitely stay again - and may!

Very well maintained place to stay short or long term. The grass is mowed weekly, the pool is always clean, the laundry room has nice large washers and dryers. Stayed here for 1+ year and never had any issues with the facilities or the staff. Park feels very safe, no sketchy people walking around. Cameras in the park and security patrol is a plus. Really friendly residents and helpful staff. Maintenance fixed my RV’s electric plug for me, and the groundskeeper does a fantastic job. Management has certain rules which keep everything in order and residents happy. I recommend Colonia Del Rey!

Staff were great! If we had any questions about the area they would point us in the right direction. Great location within a short drive of padre national Seashore. Only reason I rate it 4/5 is that the mosquitoes are horrendous and that makes being outside very uncomfortable. If you don't have lots of OFF. Great facilities and great staff overall!

I came here for one night, and right off the bat the rules were so strict and almost mean the people seemed fairly nice but you can barely get around anywhere because of how tight everything is. They do have wifi though which is nice and there cable channels are also pretty nice. Overall it's a decent place.

We picked this due to the proximity to the beaches and the overall ratings. We reserved a nice shady spot but got put in an open area. Guess you have to pay extra to get what you reserve. We are not very experienced with camping in private parks so maybe our expectations are off. Live and learn. Spots are close to each other. Our neighbors sewer hookup was next to our picnic table. Otherwise, was clean, neat, and quiet. Spots are nice and level. Just enough room for our rig and toad.

Excellent RV park. Clean, neat and a very helpful accommodating staff! They provided a good grouping of channels for TV viewing and I was able to get WiFi installed by the local cable company. Trees in various locations helped with the heat in the warmer months. Good place for my dogs too with a very small dog "park".Plenty of room to walk your pets too inside the park. Picnic table provided in my space and on location washers/dryers for convenient laundry system. Msil can be picked up anytime in the mailroom! They will also take delivery of packages and give you a notice in the

We have a big rig , the lane leading into our spot was very narrow. Cars parked along it making it dicey.

The spots in the loop appear larger, with extra parking. They are back in, I think it may be I requested a pull through and should have requested a back in.
Park is very clean with easy access to places .

The people make this park. Office ladies are wonderful, Brian owners son is so helpful. WiFi is spotty and you need your ant spray just like most parks. The bathrooms and laundry are spotless. Vince the maintenance/gardener is awesome. He's up at 6:30 picking up everyone's trash. (Don't understand why people can pick up their own) He keeps the place in tip top condition. Rates are good. Good base to explore the Corpus Christi area. We love it there, hated to leave.

Well what I can say about this park is I was very grateful because they made room for us when it was spring break and I really appreciated it you do have a little grassy area but you are very very close together and it's best part is it it's very convenient to all the North Padre Island areas and you're about 80plus miles from the South Padres so I would stay there again but I probably look around a little bit first before I went there but I appreciated their kindness and they're going the extra mile to get us in.

Add a half a star for 3 1/3 stars. This is an older park with a lot of long term (permanent?) residents. The pool and spa were closed for renovations which they needed. The very long pull thru site was a concrete pad but not all of them were. Ours also had room for a table. Not completely level but room to adjust for that. Good grassy dog park. Outside of town so you can avoid the traffic and a pretty straight shot to Padre Island. We could never use the internet and the explanation for that was that "the park is too full." TV reception worked well. At certain times of the day the road

Stayed here for a week (last week of the year) and it is not on our visit again list.

Positives: Friendly staff, clean restrooms & shower areas, our pull thru pad sites were level and paved

Negatives: Sewage was near the surface at the connection (3 inches or so), Wifi was horrible during much of the day, sites were fairly narrow with gravel between them (no grass), and park was a bit run down.

My last comment about the park can be attributed to the edge/location we stayed at. Very old rigs near the back of the park (some with holes in the side), area at back of property were not clean

This RV Park is lacking. Internet was not really available in most of the cheaper sites nor was the staff helpful until day 5 of our stay, they are planning new towers for some of the cheap sites. Except for one who is clueless to the needs of new campers the staff is very helpful to the needs of their clients. Planning a upgraded trip in April, will post then!
