Maria received both her Bachelor of Science in health care leadership and Master of Science in community counseling from National Louis University. Zachary specializes in working with teens, young adults, and men's issues.

NPS is a 39+ years counseling private practice dedicated to an integrative and functional mind, body & soul approach. We do not just assess for symptoms and then diagnosis and treat a "disorder." Rather, we want our clients to be seen, feel heard, and know that what they share with us matters. Our clients' stories help us to identify which areas in their mind, body, or soul are out of balance.
We are so grateful that we found NPS. We have our own ADHD coach on site or available via teletherapy. At NPS, we understand that ADHD coaching is essential, not just a compliment to treatment for someone with ADHD. Time management and organization must be managed differently when someone has ADHD. It is NOT about willpower or trying harder.
Teenage years can be the best of times and the worst of times. There are many challenges facing teenagers, ranging from bullying to substances to classroom struggles. As these issues bear down on our teenagers, anxiety and depression can seep into their reality, making it difficult to navigate everyday life at home, at school, or with friends.

Doug has helped me immensely with my issues including, but not limited to, adult ADD/ADHD, depression, marital issues, and a myriad of other emotional and logistical conflicts. His no BS approach to counseling has always been appreciated. I feel this is where the negitive reviews stem from. He absolutely listens to what his patients need, He just cares enough about you and your situation to tell you what you NEED to hear and not what you WANT to hear. Dr. Neal has truly found his calling in counseling and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Very disappointed with the service or should I say lack of at this office. The secretary had no knowledge of any of the basic services or treatment plans this psychologist had to offer. This psychologist was on a list of referred doctors at the primary physicians office I work at and now will be taken off that list due to incompetencey. I would not recommend this psychologist to anyone looking for answers. Dr. Neal- I highly recommend training your staff to make sure your patients are being taken care of from the moment the call to schedule an appointment with you.

Doug has been our family advisor for many years. We have been thru the teenage stuff, parent/in-law issues and marital challenges. We have always walked away with the greatest gift of all...HOPE.
