Services
Parkview Funeral Home & Cremation Service is locally owned and operated by Brent D. Francis, licensed Funeral Director and Mortician. Brent lives nearby with his wife Martha, daughter Olivia and sons Jack and Ben. He was raised living above a small town funeral home owned and operated by his father and grandfather.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a Government headstone or marker for the unmarked grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery around the world, regardless of their date of death. When the grave is already marked, applicants will have the option to apply for either a traditional headstone or marker, or a new device (available spring 2009).
A United States flag is provided, at no cost, to drape the casket or accompany the urn of a deceased veteran who served honorably in the U. S. Armed Forces. It is furnished to honor the memory of a veteran's military service to his or her country. Generally, the flag is given to the next-of-kin, as a keepsake, after its use during the funeral service.

Update>> Yet again 2day
23 Nov 21, 5 months later I needed help from Brent Francis again. He went far above his 'call of duty' to help me when I needed it the most.
He's been exceptionally kind to me & my family.
There is no finer a gentleman & Funeral Director!
On 27 April 21 I needed Brent Francis' help, the Owner/Director receives my highest praise. He will treat u w/ the kindness & compassion that u deserve. He will not rush u, & better still he won't try & upsell u in your time of need. He was very comforting to me as I was alone.
On the business side of this his prices were very fair

WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE How easy and comfortable Brent at Parkview funeral homes made my tragic experience of losing my mother.
It was almost fun I want to say, as fun as something like this can be. he made sure to communicate everything to me I needed to know and was extremely patient when I was having a hard time getting some information together. EXTREMELY compassionate and patient.
maybe one day I'll be able to buy him a beer at a bar or something because this guy deserves it!

I highly highly recommend this place of business. Brent was very polite, professional, and positive. He was very clear on the process from beginning to end. There were no hidden fees, charges, or pressure to purchase additional services or items. After speaking with him, there were no unanswered questions. It was a seamless process from beginning to end. I live in Pittsburgh, so everything had to be handled by Brent by phone, email, or text. He responded immediately in a knowledgeable and informed manner. He went above and beyond my expectations. I had no anxiety or stress with the travel restrictions

I can't say enough how much Brent and Parkview Funeral Home helped my family and I during a difficult time. The compassion, patience, and kindness displayed throughout the process gave us all a sense of confidence and security during COVID, working with us across states and online. Thanks again to Brent, I would highly recommend Parkview Funeral Home.
