As a clinical psychologist, I am a doctorally trained mental health professional. Psychologists typically have 6-7 years of graduate level training, plus an additional postdoctoral year prior to licensure, which makes us among the most highly trained mental health specialists. I graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.

Adolescence can be challenging. Many teens struggle with peer difficulties, body image concerns, mood changes, increased conflicts with parents, limit testing, academic pressures and difficulties with increased responsibility. Some teens have identity concerns about sexual and gender orientation.

Faced with these typical teen concerns, some adolescents develop more significant problems such as eating disorders, depression, self- harm behaviors, anxiety and substance abuse.Therapy can help teens navigate this difficult time in their lives. Adolescent treatment begins with a consultation with both teen and parents in which we identify potential areas of concern and for growth.

Adults come to me for many different reasons. They may have a general sense of dissatisfaction with life, career or relationships. Sometimes a life change such as losing a job, having a child, moving or going through a divorce is the concern. Some individuals feel stuck in problematic patterns or difficult life situations and want to make a change.

I have a self-pay practice, which means that I do not contract with any insurance companies. I am considered an "out of network" provider. Out of network insurance reimbursement may be available to you, depending on your insurance plan. You can also use flexible spending and health saving account (HSA) funds for your visits.
