We are a family owned and operated school and a Charter member of the International Combat Hapkido Federation.
We welcome students from the Tri-cities TN area, VA, and western NC, including Carter, Washington, Sullivan, and Greene counties, and the cities of Elizabethton, Johnson City, Bristol, Kingsport, Jonesborough, Greeneville, Tazewell, and the surrounding area. Services
Chon-Tu Kwan Hapkido or Combat Hapkido teaches Street Ready Self- Defense with curriculum developed by Grandmaster John Pellegrini that gives us Joint Locking, Trapping, Balance Disruption, Tactical Pressure Points program, Ground Survival program and Weapons Disarming as you move through our Black Belt program.
Traditional Hapkido at Evolution Martial Arts Academy is our program to teach Hapkido in its full and authentic form, as taught in Korean Hapkido schools for generations under The Korean Hapkido Academy. The martial art of Hapkido uses the energy of someone attacking you to disarm or neutralize the threat.
Evolution Martial Arts Academy LLC provides Women's Self Defense classes and is proud to have trained and certified instructors to teach Master Trina Pellegrini's TRU personal protection and women's empowerment classes. These easy-to-learn personal protection classes are designed to appeal to women of all sizes, strength and fitness levels, from beginners to experienced martial artists.
Evolution Martial Arts Academy LLC offers training classes for MUNIO Self-Defense. The MUNIO Self-Defense Keychain is a self-defense tool that is both stylish and most importantly, an effective mode for self-protection that can empower you to fight off an attacker and escape safely. The name MUNIO (moon-yo) comes from a Latin word meaning "I protect" or "I defend" and with proper training, that is precisely what this tool will do for you.

Best martial art studio I have ever attended. (I have been to 2 tae kwon doe dojos, 2 jiu jitsu dojos, a MMA gym and a 2 boxing gyms) 100% worth your investment if u put in the time you will learn more than what you pay for including cane, pressure points and ground survival, also gaining some information about other arts and if this is not the art you want to learn you will be recommended to another studio that can better suit your needs.
