Here's why: I work for you-ONLY. I do not owe any loyalty to your realtor, or any realtor, for that matter. Most of the time the realtor will recommend you get a home inspection-which is good. They will hand you a list of home inspectors, usually 3 to choose from. On that list, you will find inspectors that pay $300 to $1000 a year to join certain associations mostly realtor associations.
We here at Pacific Inspection Group believe in a truly unbiased home inspection. We are not the typical home inspection company that chases after and relies on real estate agents to refer us. Real estate agents rely on the deal going through to make their money - but we do not. We are there for you, and you are our primary concern.
Rainwater Catchment systems are becoming more and more common here in Hawaii. They are generally rooftop systems that collect rainwater in large basins, either beside the home, in-ground, or inside of the home depending on the situation. While there are thousands of different pollutants that can be found in water, there are typically 5 items that would be tested for on most homes (although some only test for the first two).

When buying our new home in HPP we researched good home inspection companies. We came across pacific inspection group. I liked them because of their buyback option with the inspection. I reached out for a quote and they were reasonably priced and super responsive. Once we scheduled the inspection the inspector was thorough and the report came back super quickly. We so used them for our water quality test and had great service. We would Definitely recommend Pacific Inspection Group. They made our transition moving from Oahu to Big Island a little easier.

The first inspection company we talked to sent us a contract that essentially said they would inspect nothing and be liable for nothing... not very comforting as a buyer! After looking through reviews, we decided to go with Pacific Inspection Group and couldn't be happier with our choice!

After reading the NO INSPECTION... inspection offer my realtor tried to sell me for $500 that stated we dont inspect roofs, ovens, electric, heaters, washers, mold, walls, so on and so forth i called for a real inspection at PACIFIC INSPECTION GROUP. His contracts say I Guarantee or I'll BUY YOUR HOME.. WOW thats what i call GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Amiable, professional, efficient, thorough! Great experience all around. It starts with the ease of booking online. You enter the property information, buyer's and seller's agent (most often already in the system), and then pick a date. You'll be offered a couple of time slots on that day. I scheduled an inspection on a Monday for that Thursday! They send the contract and confirmation via email, including a Google Calendar reminder.

Without a doubt, Tom Burgess has been the most thorough, detailed, responsive and communicative inspector we have used. Over the years we have bought and sold over a dozen properties both on and off island. Last spring my house required inspection for mold (due to a roof leak) while I was off-island for an extended period of time. When I contacted him, Tom went out to the house and performed the inspection within two days (unlike the company I eventually used for remediation, which made me wait weeks for even an estimate). When the inspection results arrived from the lab, Tom called me to explain them and make sure I understood my options. Because the inspection did find elevated levels of dangerous mold, he also drafted a remediation
