Best sauerkraut and rotkohl in the West. Authentic, fresh German food plus a great selection of European products on their grocery shelves. Great folks, a fun place to visit!

Best German food and desserts in Salt Lake City! Two sausages and 1 side dinner is our favorite. We split the sides.

Appears to be a family-run place. Cafeteria-style, with a built-in grocery section for all the German goodies you might want. Simple, filling, and very delicious food is served with a smile. The young lady (perhaps the owner's daughter? Pre-teen to early teens in age) that bussed our table was especially helpful, and earned a bigger tip than we had cash on us to provide. Quite a delightful little deli, and I'll be visiting it again soon!

I was so excited when I saw the line coming out the door. We waited in line for at least 45 minutes before ordering the wienerschnitzl, spicy goulash, Reuben sandwich, and goulash soup with sides of cucumber and tomato salad, fried potatoes, borsch, and shrimp salad. Having had all these items in Germany and the Czech Republic the food was decent but not worth the wait.
They do have an incredible selection of deli items and breads but we did not order from this section as it was incredibly busy and I didn't feel like there was time to look through the case or ask questions.
The staff seemed exhausted

I am not German nor will I ever claim to be any sort of knowledgeable expert. However, I appreciate the people, the culture, and have learned a bit of language. This is, hands down, the absolute best German restaurant/shop I've visited outside of Germany (I've been 3 times). They even carry marmalade from East Germany!
I came here for a lunch honestly not knowing what to expect. I find it's best to start the experience without expectations so you can really appreciate what the owners are trying to present. These owners are from Germany and actually import everything I posted and if not they create

Best German food in town clean nice deli with great snacks to take home. The service is always short and curt but that gives you the true German experience. Be sure to get dessert as well.

Love a good German deli and Siegfried's fits the bill and then some. My husband had the lunch special of 2 brats, spatzel, brown bravy and a side of red cabbage. I had the wienerschnitzel with warm potato salad and red cabbage from heaven. Delicious.

I love this place - really tasty German dishes good for lunch or dinner, and a little import grocery section. Absolutely the best place to find good German chocolates and other tasty products like curry ketchup. The food service line is a little slow because they don't have a huge kitchen, but it's worth it.

The portions are big and the prices are very reasonable for what you get. They are fried potatoes which is a side was my favorite. The Wienerschnitzel‘s was deep-fried right in front of me so it was fresh. The spicy Hungarian goulash looked amazing I’ll definitely have to give it a try. There’s a parking garage next door. Free parking on the weekends and in the evenings. Or at least it was while we were there.
