Total Distribution Services was established by Herb Stevenson in 1980 as the very first tank truck brokerage in the USA. Since then our network of trusted carriers has grown to the thousands. The products we're able to handle has also grown to include pretty much anything bulk - be it food grade, chemical, hazardous, liquid or dry.

A note about fuel surcharges: Each carrier uses their own formula to calculate the fuel surcharge percentage they will charge, based on the national average price of diesel.

We routinely work with agricultural products such as winter wheat, soybean meal, barley, corn, corn gluten meal, protein meal, citrus feed pellets, rice, distillers grain, urea fertilizer, molasses etc. as well as industrial products such as lumber, wall board, steel plates, beams, scrap metal, bundled copper, paper rolls, pulp bales, silica sand, polyethylene pellets, limestone, kaolin and bentonite clay, mica, cement, roofing granules, sodium sulfate, pine chips, brick, soap powder and many more products that have been overloaded or have shifted during transit.

Air unload aka Airing Off aka Blowing off : Unloading method using an air compressor, either mounted on the truck (Truck Air) or provided by the plant (Plant Air) to pressurize a tank for offloading, used for unloading dry bulk products from both pneumatictank trucks and PD railcars. Sometimes used on liquids instead of pumping from liquid tank trucks.
