Oppa Treats was founded in 2019 by Peter Hong, who started off by doing pop-ups and collaborations with local businesses. Originally working in the banking sector, he dabbled in hospitality on weekends at restaurants such as Top Knot, Uchi and Haute Sweets Patisserie -- mostly doing volunteer work, as time in the kitchen was more of a hobby for him.
In 2016, he took a trip to Japan and Korea and saw first-hand the love and passion that went into making each delicate rice cake. This gave him a new found admiration for Eastern desserts and he was thrilled to introduce this to all his friends. In 2017, he decided to leave familiarity and relocated to San Francisco, where he began his culinary journey, gaining valuable experience as part of the team that opened Sunday at the Museum.

To say these muffies are amazingly delicious would be an understatement. I ordered one of every flavor and they kindly put in an extra crème brûlée. They truly are perfectly crisp around the edges but soft and chewy on the inside. At only $1.50 a muffie and free delivery, Oppa Treats offers an unbelievable deal. I haven't been able to decide which flavor was my favorite because each bite was so tasty. I received the muffies yesterday and when I sat down for my morning coffee today, I was pleasantly surprised to find the muffies maintaining the same consistency as they had yesterday. Not

Decided to give this a try today for a company birthday celebration, and Oppa Treats didn't disappoint me.

Delivery: I ordered in advance online and my order arrived on time. Plus friendly delivery guy.
Presentation: AMAZING! You can tell the baker put in a lot of thoughts into making it. Even the order of colors/flavors in the box looked specially arranged.

Oh my goodness, these are incredible!!! I was looking for mochi donuts in Dallas, but unfortunately those don't seem to be available anywhere in DFW other than Fat Straws (good but made with wheat flour + mochi flour so not what I've been craving). These mochi muffies 1000% hit the spot, and I can't wait to try all the flavors. So far, the creme brûlée and Earl Grey have been fantastic. This is definitely the best Earl Grey flavored dessert I have ever had--so flavorful and delicious! The texture is perfect, and the flavors are unique and delicious. I originally bought my treats planning to pick it up but ended up not being able to due to my schedule. They asked for my address and delivered it to me without any questions asked. On top of that, the Mochi… Muffies were so DELICIOUS... per usual!! I ordered a couple of each of their flavors making sure I had extra of the pandan and creme brûlée. Pricey but delicious! Just like how everyone said it, these muffies tastes like the Viet Banh Bo. The best to reach out is by email and pre-order. I really like how fast they get back to you after leaving a voicemail and email. Then the delivery was fast as well. Thanks for the great customer service!

Second time doing a pickup. I am so embarrassed by fact that I eat so many of these in one sitting. Since I had tried all the flavors last time, I limited my order to ube, pandan coconut and churro since those were our favorites. I freaking love these little muffies. My whole family loves Oppa Treats. I've ordered twice, and each time, the muffies are devoured when I get them. Even my mom, who complains about desserts being "too sweet" couldn't stop eating them once she started!

I first discovered Oppa Treats when I saw their muffies on display at Kung Fu Tea Dallas. I got to sample one of their Ube flavored muffies and I was blown away! Muffies are hybrids between mochi and muffins with perfectly chewy centers and crisp, browned, buttery edges. I loved the idea and thought they'd make the perfect snacks.
Another awesome thing about Oppa Treats is that they constantly come out with new creative flavors. My favorite is the creme brûlée (yes the top is actually brûléed). I could probably eat 10 of those in one sitting. I also really like the ube and pandan coconut

The Oppa's muffies helped me get through postpartum. Having a newborn was so tough and a friend told me to try these. Not sure if they contain drugs or not but it made me much happier. It's cheaper and easier than going to a doctor.
My baby loves them too. She eats better when mama have some muffies in her milk.
I love how they deliver so I can rest at home. I got my friends hooked on them too and now we're all regular customers.

If you like mochi this is the dessert for you! its called muffies a hybrid muffin and mochi but honestly, its more mochi than muffin. It just shapes like a muffin. Taste is more mochi which, I love!
pro tip: heat the muffies in the microwave for 10-20 seconds before consuming. The mochi will melt and its gooeyyyyy. My go to flavor is pandan and ube. Althought I do love creme brulee too but I stick to Asian flavors.
