Shower and lightly exfoliate the area you plan on waxing before your appointment using warm water. For best waxing results, your hair needs to be at least of an inch (about the length of a grain of rice). No waxing if you are taking or using any medication that will thin the skin, such as Accutane or Retin-A.

Worst wax experience ever. My appointment was at 3:00pm and was out by 3:07pm - no before or after care. The service was rushed, and poorly done, after tipping $20 got home to realize half my hair was still there, along with chunks of wax. This, not to mention her rudeness and lack of professionalism once I presented my Groupon. Overall, not the quality of service worth even the Groupon cost, and not the quality of business I’d support paying full price. Groupon should not be a means of advertising if the quality of treatment is measured by cost paid for service- not a place I’d come back,

I had the most wonderful first time wax experience. She was so friendly and patient and really guided me through the whole experience. I am super confused by the comments that call her rude, especially with the Groupon. I told her that I had booked it through Groupon ahead of time and didn’t have a single problem. Highly, highly recommended!!!

I had multiple brazilian waxes before I finally found Susan and I will never stray from her. She is INCREDIBLE, the price is so fair, and she is quick yet detailed! It is uncomfortable dealing with the owner. Apparently I have been to her once before. She kept it on record and when I attempted to use a Groupon I was denied service altogether rather than negotiate or inform me of cost of service which had I felt comfortable I would have likely paid it and went. But in connecting once again with her I now realize why I never returned after my first service with her.

She was so easy going and helpful to me. I love frequenting small businesses for this very reason, her kindness and customer service are amazing!
I found Susan on Groupon 2 years ago when I was living here. She uses a blue wax ( not sure the brand) and applies it with wooden spatulas. She is quick and efficient, making the already painful process that much easier. You will be in and out in 15 minutes!

Located in the Salon Plaza in Herndon, Valencia Aesthetics is the second door on your right upon entering the office space. Susan, the owner of Valencia is always prompt and efficient. The work space is always kept in pristine and hygienic conditions for each customer that walks in. I see Susan regularly for Brazilian and underarm waxes. She takes a situation that may be uncomfortable and a bit awkward, and makes it seem like you're catching up with a friend (who happens to wax you). She takes the time to get to know her clients and ALWAYS works with your schedule to book future appointments

Susan is very friendly! She works with your schedule and will let you know in advance if she can not see you. She is pretty popular and in demand. Her brazilian wax can be deemed virtually painless to the most you feel a slight discomfort. I used a Groupon the first time I came in but she's definitely worth the full price and I have tried getting back into see her but she stays booked for the times I can come.

Susan was so nice and professional! Found her on Groupon and I'm glad I did. The wax was super quick and painless- she knows what she's doing. She was very knowledgeable and did a great job! I am definitely coming back and referring friends/family. It's so hard to find a good wax for a decent price and good quality!

Quickest, most efficient waxing I've ever had in my life. Seriously, with a Groupon I paid about $17.00 after a 20 percent discount. So, at the very least, I could have said I got the service for dirt cheap. Fortunately though, the space Susan occupies is clean and she is very friendly and professional.
I didn't realize that Saloon Plaza at Worldgate center was actually a house for boutique salon/spa services. I actually got lost looking for the room because there are so many office spaces inside the plaza. If you're looking for beauty treatments, this is where a variety of services

I found Valencia Esthetic through a groupon deal for a $17 Brazilian (by far the best deal you will find in northern va/DC areas). I dropped in hoping to make a walk-in appointment and Susan kindly accepted. She did miss a few spots but overall did a good job. Although the groupon was only for first time customers, her usual rate of $35 is still one of the best deals in the area.
Edit: the results only lasted about 1.5 weeks whereas other places I have gone have lasted up to 3 or 4 weeks. I suppose my first rating was based on price but in terms of the service itself, the original wax missed
