With our 140 year history, effective client communication continues to be at the heart of our law firm. We serve as general counsel or act as special counsel for more than 100 Wisconsin local governmental entities advising in areas such as public utility, government and administration, employment, labor and environmental law.

We harness the collective experience of our business attorneys and litigators to solve legal needs facing business owners. We act as general counsel and business advisor to local and national nonprofit organizations, including charities, educational institutions and trade organizations.
Services
Though we serve clients around the United States and all over the world, we trace our roots to our current hometown of Madison, Wisconsin, in 1879. Generations and partners have come and gone, but what remains - and will always remain - is our commitment to providing practical legal solutions and our adherence to the highest standards of legal ethics and professionalism.
Stafford Rosenbaum encourages its attorneys and staff to be leaders in their communities. Many of the ways in which our attorneys and staff serve their communities are listed on the individual profile pages for each attorney or staff member. Stafford Rosenbaum attorneys assisted victims of the 2005 Stoughton tornado on a pro bono basis obtaining insurance coverage for their property damage.
Our goal at Stafford Rosenbaum is to treat our clients how we would wish to be treated if we were clients. That's why we focus on you and how we can best serve your needs. We don't talk at you; instead, we listen to your goals and concerns and then explain your options and the ramifications of those options.
On behalf of the Madison Audubon board, staff, and members, I would like to take this opportunity to express sincere gratitude and appreciation to the attorneys who have provided generous and excellent legal advice and services. Christopher Hughes, Olivia Pietrantoni, and Vanessa Wishart are models of what attorneys should be; they are professional, ethical, efficient - the list of superlatives goes on and on.
Stafford Rosenbaum is a client-focused, results-driven firm-to deliver on our promise to provide solutions on time and with exceptional service, we have to be. We work hard, but we also value time for our families and personal lives. We strive to ensure that all our employees are able to maintain a good work/life balance.

Katie Harrell represents the father of my child. I have full custody & placement.
The father has a restraining order on me,
Katie called my attorney & said if I do adoption the father will drop his restraining order against me.
This is illegal adoption pressure.
Due to her actions I was not able to place my baby for adoption & her quid pro quo made the adoption invalid.

Olivia Pietrantoni was recommended to us by our real estate agent when our original buyers were backing out of the buyers' contract with less than 72 hours before closing. Olivia was prompt, professional, and thorough in her encounters with us. When the day of the original closing came and went, she walked us through every avenue we could pursue with the other party. She laid out all facts and scenarios for us and gave her professional opinion on the best outcome for us. She was compassionate with our situation and made the whole ordeal so much easier while we prepared to re-list our home.

Tiffany Highstrom. Terrible. Lost a year of child support because she didn't file the proper paperwork. She failed to act in the best interest on my behalf.

I had hired Atty Anthony Menting, and subsequently also had Atty. Tiffany Highstrom work on my case. Huge mistake ever hiring these clowns. They seem to know nothing of the law, care nothing of my case, and just went after every last cent they billed. Unfair billing, at that. If there is one thing they excel at, it's padding a bill.

I hired the firm to go after assets that my ex had hidden during the divorce. It was more than a year later when I found out about the hidden assets. I had the proof and documentation, including a signed confession from the ex! Should have been a piece

When it comes to business law, I cannot say enough great things about Scott Seid. He has helped our business with employee contracts, and trademark registration. He brought to my attention key points that I would have otherwise left out. He is great at knowing what should be in a contract. However, he is unique and an ASSET to any company, because of his knowledge and keen eye of what is NOT PART of a contract when a contract is presented to you by another business or landlord. He is very grounded and easy to talk with; and it is reassuring that he wants to be sure we had at least equal footing
