In 1989, Cal-West Rain was formed because a San Joaquin Valley farming company saw the need to have both an irrigation AND a pump company as a single supplier. Prior to that time, most operated as separate entities, irrigation or pumps, not both under one roof. Thinking the idea had real merit, the grower approached our co-founders Larry Isheim and Jim Martin to help start the company.
Not only do we design and install turn-key irrigation systems, but Cal-West Rain can also service, repair, and maintain your entire irrigation system. We maintain an experienced crew of welders, electricians, machinists and mechanics dedicated to solving problems with responsive service and support.
Cal-West Rain offers full-service parts departments in Kerman, Hanford, Bakersfield and Paso Robles. We maintain a full inventory, plus special orders for unique needs. Protect your irrigation system with filters while preventing contaminants and clogging so water is delivered as planned and your crops stay healthy.
Cal-West Rain has decades of irrigation experience including drip/micro, subsurface and sprinkler irrigation methods. Using our certified designers, each project is designed based on your unique requirements, including water availability, type of crop, application/use, plus optional remote monitoring and controls.
Frost control sprinkler systems protect your crop using an efficient and cost-effective method. We offer professionally engineered, high-quality, centrifugal pumps that deliver reliable and fuel-efficient operation. Our portable booster pumps are used mainly for field irrigation systems or when high amounts of water need to be transported over closer distances.

Service clerk in the parts department is very slow and seems to be unfamiliar with the warehouse and selves layout. Only bought one thing and it took about 10 mins to find it then 10 mins to write up the invoice even though I was the only customer. The part (a 1/2” hose clamp) was way overpriced and I could not make it into town to buy it at a hardware store. I would not recommend this parts department store and instead recommend going into Fresno or Kerman to get a better deal and service. This was the first and last time I buy from here.
