Most of the newer vehicles are transponder keys and have a transponder (or computer chip) in the head of the key. This chip communicates with your vehicle which allows it to start. Without this programed chip, your key will turn but your car won't start. We have the latest technology to duplicate your computer chip keys at a price at least 20% less than the dealership.

Laurel's Lock Shop is a super-reliable, friendly neighborhood business. Dianne is super friendly and she came out to my mom's house on a holiday to change three doorknobs, re-key two deadbolts and one lock. It only took her about a half hour and she did it all for a totally reasonable price. She's got all her tools and machines in her minivan so she can take care of everything on the spot. I had some deadbolts master-keyed for my house. Locks are working great, and the prices were unbeatable. I really appreciated that there is a storefront I can go to get the work done, instead of paying for someone to come out to my house. It is just one woman (I’m assuming Laurel) running the show, so things can get a bit busy sometimes, but she does a great job of managing her schedule and getting things done quickly.

I was rekeying my home locks and accidentally sprung the last cylinder. No locksmith I tried calling was open. Finally, I called Laurel's to see if they could help repair it. I was told, of course! A quick drive over and the owner was super helpful in showing me where I screwed up. She reset the lock and finished the rekey in about five minutes, no charge. Super helpful and friendly and they will be on my recommendation list to anyone who asks.

One of the last real locksmiths still in business!! She is busy working on the road but I was able to visit her shop after 5pm and even though she didn’t have a direct match for my key she was able to carve another one close enough where she got it to work. She didn’t even charge me for it since she wasn’t very happy with this one and promised to look for a blank key that’s a closer match to my strange aftermarket Chinese motorcycle key. Anyway I’m happy I finally was able to duplicate my impossible to match motorcycle key!

I am very pleased with my experience with Diana at Laurel's Lock Shop. I called Diana to help me install a new electronic deadbolt and rekey 2 other locks to match on a recent home purchase. This project included drilling a larger hole in my front door to accommodate my lock. I set an appointment with Diana, she called me on her way and arrived on time. She got everything done perfectly and left me with three working locks with spare keys. I think the price was very fair- and more importantly she did it better and much faster than I could have ever hoped to do it myself. That's a big timesaver

My front door deadbolt got stuck in the locked position. I followed tips online and even called Kwikset directly with no luck. The bolt would not retract. I called Laurel’s Lock and made an appointment with Diana for later in the day. She arrived on time and tried for several minutes to get it to unjam. I thought she’d have to cut through the bolt, but her persistence paid off. She got it off and reinstalled a new latch.
I highly recommend Laurel’s Lock. Diana is a true professional, and the cost is very fair for the work she did. I would not hesitate calling her for any future locksmith

Excellent service. They even came to my residence more than once after I messed up on the date. I'd recommend this business. The ONLY thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is the fact that the pricing fluctuated during installation without first giving me a breakdown of the charges.
Granted, while installing the locks I was told things like "a screw is missing" or "this lock gets a bit stuck" and even that one of the knobs was actually broken and needed to be replaced but I didn't realize at the end it would cost close to $300 when all was said and done. While I cannot

If I could give 0 stars I would. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Basically kept giving me the run around an entire day saying she'd make my key only to continue saying she didn't get to it. She tried to say it's because I gave her the information late but then said she'd be at the shop between 5-7. I arrived at 6 only for her to tell me she hasn't even started it & was leaving the shop in 15 mins & that she will "try" to do it But was going out of town so wasn't sure & she mentioned honestly making her money on doing remote services rather than in shop so

Diane strikes again!!! I seriously cannot rave enough about this wonderful, hard working human being. I seriously, if it wasn't creepy, would give her a hug every time I utilize her services. She changed out my door lock to a regular knob. I'm moving in a crunch and waited very last minute to do last minute alterations to the house. She came an hour early than she quoted and was done doing the job in less than 10min. I'm so busy, I allowed her to lead herself around my house to change out the locks. You'll receive great service and the prices are low. They aren't sitting around in the office all day, so I suggest you call before you go. They make emergency visits & house calls. I know because someone once came to my house to make keys. Recently, I needed an expressive car key replaced, and it was done in minutes and at a cost far less than the dealership would charge. Customer service & accuracy are important. The keys are never cut wrong. They always work!
