Our resort style campus is the only assisted living community of its kind in the Coachella Valley. The campus allows for outside activities including walking and is intimate enough to allow staff to hear your loved ones as they enjoy the grounds. Each resident is provided an emergency assistance pendant which is GPS activated throughout the community and can alert the care team when pushed for assistance.
Our community is comfortable and cozy with several activity areas including a beautiful dining room with a stunning panoramic view of the Coachella Valley, activity room, beauty salon, massages and Namaste program. Our community has 28 spacious apartments with kitchenettes as well as private bathrooms and can accommodate both private and shared living.

Services
Monthly Rates for Assisted Living Include Monthly Basic Service & Amenities and a Personal Service Plan. Monthly Basic Services and Amenities provides a professional caring staff available 24 hours a day, includes 3 daily meals and snacks, activities, maintenance, laundry service, bed making, transportation to physician (limited to Desert Hot Springs, charges apply for transportation out of the area at taxi fare rate).
Our Namaste program is special to our heart and focuses on the needs and spirit of each person through sensory-based practices that provide stimulation and relaxation: compelling scents of lavender through aromatherapy, soothing music or nature sounds, light massage, gently interactive activities, and a calming environment with comfy recliners and cozy warm blankets, all of which provide physical comfort and a loving touch to individuals who are too frail or cognitively challenged to engage in a facility's regular programming.
Validation is a method of communicating with and helping disoriented very old people. It is a practical way of working that helps reduce stress, enhance dignity and increase happiness. Validation is built on an empathetic attitude and a holistic view of individuals.
When one can "step into the shoes" of another human being and "see through their eyes, " one can step into the world of disoriented very old people and understand the meaning of their sometimes bizarre behavior.Validation theory explains that many very old disoriented people, who are often diagnosed as having Alzheimer type dementia, are in the final stage of life, trying to resolve unfinished issues in order to die in peace.

Making affordable housing with personal and health-related services available to seniors and individuals with disabilities. Maximizing dignity, privacy, independence and autonomy. Providing an alternative to long-term care placement in a nursing home. The ALWP is designed to assist Medi-Cal beneficiaries to remain in their community as an alternative to residing in a licensed health care facility.
Veterans and survivors who are eligible for a VA pension and require the aid and attendance of another person, or are housebound, may be eligible for additional monetary payment. These benefits are paid in addition to monthly pension, and they are not paid without eligibility to Pension.
Since Aid and Attendance and Housebound allowances increase the pension amount, people who are not eligible for a basic pension due to excessive income may be eligible for pension at these increased rates.A Veteran or surviving spouse may not receive Aid and Attendance benefits and Housebound benefits at the same time.

We are so grateful to Desert Cove Assisted Living.
Thanks to them, my Mother is in good care and we are relieved and can breathe easier, knowing she’s safe. The attendants are especially good and kind to her, and the management, Heather and Nancy, are caring and responsible.
Desert Cove is an assisted living facility, but they go above and beyond basic assisted care. Most of the people there, including my Mother, have dementia, and Desert Cove is actually providing Memory Care.
Thank you Desert Cove, Heather, Nancy, and the attendants, especially Gilbert, Hero, and Heidi for the great care

I can not say enough about the care the WHOLE staff provides to their residents. Both of my parents moved there when my Mother's dementia became more than my father and the rest of us were able to safely care for. As difficult as the condition can be, every one of the staff was caring and patient. I never once worried about her while on their care. Erica was awesome with her experience and expertise. Cindy was also amazing. All of the care givers and staff were all caring and supportive. My Mother passed away early November. She received hospice care while at Desert Cove and everyone there made
