Mona and Marie's is a cafe bistro founded 2017 right outside Newark Broad Street Train Station. Bringing the traditional Mediterranean Cafe experience to a corner in Jersey serving superior coffee, by sourcing flavorful beans, and the freshest ingredients for our dishes.
Alongside our menu, of dishes, sandwiches, salads, and hot drinks prepared by our skilled baristas, we offer variety of produce comprised of organic and natural vegetables and fruits from local farmers, to imported cheeses, olives and nuts from Egypt, Syria, and Greece.

We pride ourselves in our store-made classic pastries and signature dishes, alongside our menu of barista made drinks, with fine espresso imported directly from Italy, and coffee beans cultivated organically from South America. Mona & Maries 150 capacity room, features a full cafe, sandwich bar and buffet table, with an old world charm.
Our food menu features a tasteful selection of timeless English and Mediterranean dishes shared with us from the ages. Using cage free eggs, grass fed beef and fresh produce prepared on site every day to capture the essence of a healthy and full cuisine. Much of the menu would be found in a traditional american household with Mediterranean or Middle Eastern roots.
Mona & Marie's is located directly in front of Broad St. Train Station, tucked between the bridge and the corner of Grant and Broad St, Newark's main street. The cafe has a side entrance on Grant st. Since Grant is a one way, If you are driving up Broad St you can make a right on 18th street to circle back around to find parking.

One of the best cafes I've been to in a long time and right next to my train stop on Broad street. The coffee was excellent, great sandwiches, and great vibe and decor.
They had a newcomer special too for a free croissant with the coffee! Will definitely be back for some of the pastries they had out there.
