Athlete's foot is a skin disease caused by a fungus, usually occurring between the toes. The fungus usually attacks the feet because shoes create a warm, dark, and humid environment that encourages fungus growth. The warmth and dampness of areas around swimming pools, showers, and locker rooms, are also breeding grounds for fungi.
A callus is an area of hard, thickened skin that can occur across the ball of the foot, on the heel, or on the outer side of the big toe. While many consider them a skin problem, they actually are systemic of a problem with the bone. Calluses have painful nerves and bursal sacs (fluid-filled balloons that act as shock absorbers) beneath them, causing symptoms ranging from sharp, shooting pain to dull, aching soreness.
Haglund's Deformity (also known as "pump bump" or "retrocalcaneal bursitis") is a painful enlargement of the back of the heel bone that becomes irritated by shoes. It normally appears as a red, painful, and swollen area in the back of the heel bone. Women tend to develop the condition more than men because of the irritation from rigid heel counters of shoes rubbing up and down on the back of the heel bone.
Ingrown toenails often are the result of trimming your toenails too short, particularly on the sides of your big toes. While they are very common, ingrown toenails can also be very painful. When trimming your nails, avoid tapering the corners so that the nail curves with the shape of your toe. The sides of the nail will curl down and dig into your skin.
Foot pain in the "ball of your foot, " the area between your arch and the toes, is generally called metatarsalgia. The pain usually centers on one or more of the five bones (metatarsals) in this mid-portion of the foot. Also known as "dropped metatarsal heads, " metatarsalgia can cause abnormal weight distribution due to over-pronation.

If I could, I'd give him More than 5 Stars!
After my Chiropractor diagnosed my foot pain with Plantar Fasciitis, I called in my medical group for a Podiatrist Apt. They said they were booking out 3 months. Anyone who's had this knows it's excruciating. There's no way I was going to wait 3 months! They suggested a Foot and Ankle ortho guy instead. Who said it was completely something else after a ton of expensive X-Rays and made me wear a boot for weeks that did absolutely nothing.
After calling a friend to see who they know, they HIGHLY recommended Dr. Worman. And guess what? I called and I had
