We had an older wooden chair that needed the seating reinforced. I did not know much about chairs, so sent pictures and explanations. Quote came fast and very reasonable. I brought the chair to them, and Molly explained what they would do (replace the netting). Just a few days later the chair was ready and is usable again!. Thank you!

I shopped around the Chicagoland area looking for someone to upholster my custom seat foam. I found them! So since I did all the research and homework for you, you don't need to go elsewhere. I am so pleased with the quality of work, the turn around time, the courteous and friendly attention to customers AND the incredibly fair price!! After receiving my custom seat, I had them make me custom watch pillows for a watch box I made. Who makes custom watch pillows?!? ELI WYN DOES! No job is to big, small or out of the ordinary. This company, it's staff and it's wonderful owner

These guys are great. I brought them a seat from an exercise bicycle and they were extremely professional and did a great job. I wasn't really expecting that kind of responsiveness for a small project like this and from this type of service. I would give them a huge job anytime.

I worked with Molly on a chaise couch cushion that was about 10 years old with a tear right in the center of the chaise fabric. I asked her to flip the couch cushion and move the fabric in the back to the front (there was no similar fabric) as well as restitch the fabric so that it was seamless.
I was impressed by the workmanship. The execution was flawless and my chaise looks like new.
As others have said, they are very busy, so be patient and you may have to follow up. However, it was well worth final outcome. I had taken this chaise to 2 other shops prior to choosing Eli Wyn, both who said

Eli Wyn was recommended to me by a decorator friend - and online reviews looked good. I have had 2 experiences with them.
I used them last year (2018) to recover 2 chairs and they did a nice job for which I probably would have given them 4.5 stars. The only reason it wasn't 5 is because chairs were gone for a long time and they did not bring me the leftover fabric which I requested in email form when I sent the project, and when they did the project they did not bring it - I emailed it and requested they send it. They never did.
I used them last month to reupholster the chair and ottoman

Our Couch repair was completed much later than promised. Upon delivery, a chair cushion and the couch protective cover were not brought. We had to pick those up at the business. Phone calls and messages were not returned. Only if the person was answering the phone did we get a response.
The couch protective cover does not fit. It looks like measurements were not taken on the arms, a simple task. It must have not had a test fit, even though the couch is was there an extended time.

While the re-upholstery work they did was excellent, their communication was significantly lacking. We did not hear from them when our fabric was in nor when our chair was ready.
The 1st time we called to determine status (after they had the chair for 2 weeks), we were told it would be ready early the week following. When there was no call by Friday of that week, we called again and found that the chair was awaiting our pick up.
We did get it that Monday, and brought it home to find that a significant part of the work had not been done, even though our bill was fully paid. They agreed to pick

Eli-Wyn is the best upholstery shop in Chicago! A lot of interior designers use them because they do excellent work and are fairly priced. For those who need a little guidance: I've worked with Steve on selecting some fabrics for living room furniture and his eye for color, fabric and details is spot on! They make it so easy, too, if you need pick up and delivery for furniture, and their turn around is always pretty quick (maybe account for longer lead time around the holiday season). Highly recommend!!!

I have worked with Steve and Molly at Eli Wyn on two projects now - dining room and living room. The work has been wonderful, as was the help in making fabric choices. The pricing is fair and "as quoted", with prompt turn around and no additional design fee. And the pick up and delivery team was awesome -- went above and beyond. WOW! Amazing work and completed for less than the estimate. I had a vintage piece that inherited from my uncle that had the original upholstery. I wanted to keep the vintage feeling but have the piece fixed so it would be useful. They had a selection of fabrics that was so vast that without the their help I would have been looking at swatches for days. With my vague description of grey but not too dark with a mid-century feel they found a few dozen samples that I could use to narrow down my selection. They completed the work beautifully. I could not have imagined a better result.

I called Eli-Wyn on the recommendation of a real estate friend and was so glad I did!
I had an old sofa bed that was in generally good shape, but the arms were getting worn and shiny and the cushions were sagging a bit. I found this fabric with a large format design, that if not done well could have looked like three big eyes (actually large flower faces) were staring at you along with the other issues inherent in trying to continue a large theme between cushions.
I brought in all eight cushions to be covered and from the old material had arm rest covers and the cushion corded trim made from

Do not get started with this company. We are very easy going customers, but they simply will not finish the job. Installed an expensive custom sofa and we literally can not get them back to finish it. They promise to call or email and schedule the appointment and then nothing. BBB is my next step... Really frustrating.

I have used Molly and her crew on two separate occasions. First was an antique couch that I received out of my aunt's estate. Second was a pair of Queen Anne style chairs. On both occasions I have found their work to be of the highest quality, while the staff was accesible and and the pieces were delivered timely. I also found their prices to be reasonable. I recommend them highly.

Awful. We were told 2-3 weeks. It took 3 months. Our items were destroyed, nothing was as we had asked and the job looked completely rushed. We had to purchase new material and pay another place to do the job right. Complete and total disaster.
Poor communication.
Poor quality work.
9 weeks late.
Said it would be delivered at 8am and it was delivered at 2:30pm.
