Bonneville Tower is a high-rise residence located within easy walking distance of downtown Salt Lake City and the University of Utah. Many units in the building have spectacular views of the Salt Lake valley. Each unit ranges anywhere from 800 - 1500 sq. Constructed in 1964, Bonneville Tower is a one of Salt Lake City's most pristine examples of Mid-Century Modern architecture.
It was designed by M.E. Harris, Jr., a Salt Lake architect credited with several other buildings of distinctive design. While more is to be learned about the origins of the concept, we understand that original plans called for a matching structure to be built on the northwest corner of "K" Street.

We lived here for 18 months and the place was just miserable; we moved as soon as we had the opportunity. I am under 40 which is about 20-30 years younger than most of the other tenants. Not only does the buildings interior and exterior still look like 1964 (the built year) but the policies and tenants don't seem like they've changed much either.
Policies: There are very strict rules and incredibly expensive HOA's (e.g. nothing is allowed in your windows or on your balcony, not even a planter). Yes, you can be fined $50 without warning for having a planter out there. Our HOA was about $450 a month

We have lived in Bonneville Towers for over 2 years and we love it. We remodeled our unit and it is spacious and open and we have AMAZING mountain views through floor to ceiling windows in the living room and nice big windows in the bedrooms. Many of the units have turned over and people are updating them into real beauties! Love the location in the Avenues, and the classy mid century modern architecture inside and out!
