In 2014, Mr. Carlos Rebollar and his family opened their doors with hopes of sharing their passion for great tasting food with the world. Carlos, nicknamed "La Rana" by his friends and relatives, wanted to provide a better experience when it came to Mexican cuisine. This meant serving up delicious food and impeccable service, all in a "family home" atmosphere.

You must stop here! Never had white beans prepared with Tex-Mex but I'll forever want these beans served with our food. Seriously, one of the best side dishes I've ever eaten. Not to dismiss any of the other food - the fresh guacamole was spectacular. Got some to go and had it the next morning as avocado toast and if it is possible it was even better. The bacon wrapped shrimp was also very good. The fish and crane tacos as well as the shredded chicken tostadas were good but tasted a bit bland compared to the other over the moon flavors. I almost don't want to post a review because I want to keep this hole in the wall to myself but it's too good not to share. We found this place by yelping where to eat one night. When we arrived we were a little worried if we made a good choice or not but when we got our food we immediately knew this was going to be a place we frequently went to, weekly if I'm being honest. Anything with the fajita beef is going to be fantastic. The queso is amazing and their salsa is brought out warm to the table and is so good!! If you like extra spicy, ask for the green sauce, it does not disappoint

What a wonderful surprise to find this truly authentic Mexican restaurant. Each dish was uniquely different and full of Mexican flavors. The beef/chicken tequila platter was fantastic!! The variety of onions and bell peppers brought out the flavors of this dish. The meats were juicy and tender! The combination plate included pork tamale, chicken enchilada in red salsa, and crispy beef taco. The pork tamale was delicious. The meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Fantastic Mexican food! The best I've found in the area and I thought we'd tried them all. The chips are homemade and the salsa is served warm and has great flavor. However, I mixed in some of their green salsa (spicier than the red) and it heated mine up just like I like it! Love their refried beans and the waiter brought us a sample of their Charro beans which are not pintos, they're Peruvian beans and they're amazing! Chicken enchiladas are made from pulled white AND DARK meat which to me, the dark meat adds more flavor and natural juices making for tastier enchiladas. We

My new go to Mexican restaurant! My girlfriend and I just moved up to Conroe and were looking for a good Mexican restaurant. After some searching, we stumbled upon Rana's. Well thank God we did! The food is amazing, and the staff is friendly. We've been back a couple times and each time it's quality meets or exceeds the previous time. So definitely check them out, you'll be happ you did.

The waitress was very good. Restaurant was clean. Food was not real good. Got taco salad. Very little beef. Mostly refried beans. They charge an extra $1.99 if you chose beef as your meat. They claim because of Covid19. I will say here Covid19 gets blamed for a lot of things now a day. They also have an administration fee of $1.45 added to the bill. This was not disclosed until we got our bill. Needless to say we will not be coming back.

This is By far the best Mexican food in town. The best part is the service. Family owned, family always here. Recipes are all from the family and made in house. Dining room is small and intimate. Mr. Rana is always walking around and greeting the customer. There is no place better for authentic Mexican food in Montgomery county... Tequila Fajitas are our favorite... you won't be disappointed. I promise...

Rana's is definitely my favorite local spot for authentic Mexican food.
You will star with chips and warm fire roasted salsa.
This is some of the best I've had anywhere.
I also really like the mini tacos. Ground beef, chorizo, and steak are my favorites. Deserts are very good, and Carlos the owner always stops to say hello.
