At Sitar Cuisine Of India, we turn the act of eating, whether by yourself or with a group of friends into an experience which will never be forgotten. The decor, the friendly staff together with the fusion of old and new Indian cuisine is what makes us unique. India, one of the oldest civilizations, is as diversified in its culinary traditions as it is in it languages, dresses, and religions.
In our restaurant, we would like to introduce you to one of the most refined styles of regional cooking, which is similar to Northern Indian food today. Most Indian cuisines are related by similiar usage of spices. Often, Indian cooking is distinguished by the use of a larger variety of vegetables than many other well-known cuisines.

Great selection of authentic Halal Indian dishes. Delicious & consistent taste each time we visit Sitar. Glad to have them in The Woodlands, TX. Must try their lunch or Dinner Buffet. À la carte Menu is vast and has great options for all taste palate. Location is super clean and has Great Ambiance . Ample seating available to dine in. Their fresh Mango Lassi and desserts are delicious and are my favorite. Must Try Chicken 65, Pakora & Palak/saag Paneer with fresh Garlic & Butter Naan. Would recommend it if visiting the Spring/Woodlands area and we will be coming again soon to devour deliciousness

My wife loves indian food; it is a part of her heritage. I have come to enjoy much of indian food except for the desserts (don't like rice pudding or porridge or whatever it was). I am not a vegetarian, but the vegetarian options were scrumptious; of course I had chicken and lamb as well. The best taste that evening was the warm bread. It reminded me of the tortilla my aunt used to make, where they were cut opened and buttered. I almost got carried away eating the bread before taking a bite of the other food.
I believe it is a great place for a group to go hang out and eat. I forgot to mention

Called ahead on Saturday for dinner at my favorite Indian restaurant for 15+ years. I had a party of 7 and wanted to make sure they could serve us if we arrive at 8:30pm. The person that answered the phone said "sure come on". Arrived at. 8:15pm after driving for 45 minutes. The server told us that they are no longer serving people and they could only let us take away. I talked to the manager and he said the same thing. I reminded him that I had called earlier and he was adamant not to serve us. I was super disappointed. The place closes at 9pm and open for pick up until 9:30pm. Thank goodness

We had the buffet lunch there yesterday. It was pretty good. Lots of vegetarian choices. The staff as attentive and polite. Masked as well. The yellow rice with spices was good. The dark lentil dish was spiced just right and the spinach paneer was tasty. But The fried lentil flat bread tasted stale, might be using the oil for too long.

I really enjoyed this place. The service was attentive. My husband had the buffet, which is behind plexiglass and is served to you. He enjoyed everything he tried. I ordered the tikka masala with paneer and an order of naan. It was all great, and my portion was very generous, I had to take half of it home. I will be back.

Have been going here for years. Decent variety on buffet, including vegetarian options and condiments. Some dishes tend to be a little on the greasy side but that's what the basmati rice is for...to absorb all the sauces, right?! ;) I do wish their dishes had a little higher spice level but understand they need to appeal to the masses. I always request ramekins for my chutneys and raita so I can dip as desired.

Doesn't look like much when you drive blast BUT LET ME TELL YOU!
I have been going to this place since I was seven years old, with a picky palate. My parents would bring me here to eat dinner after volleyball practice and I would always say "I'll wait to eat after, I'd rather have McDonald's".
Finally one day after coming here for months with my parents and never even tasting a single bite I gave in, and tried the lamb Rogen Josh. My taste buds exploded with delight! I had been wasting all of those dinners on McDonald's rather than this amazing curry?

I have tried other indian restaurants in the area but I think this one tops my list. It does get quite busy during lunch time since there are lots of companies and businesses around this location. The staff is polite and efficient with seating and bringing you beverages and their warm naan brushed with ghee.
They also have quite the selection. From right side of tHe buffet there was a ground lamb cabbage stir fry type of dish. It was very well seasoned with warm indian spices and garnished with raw white onion, cilantro and jalapeño slices. I also like how they have a variety of condiments like

I'm more than a little bit shocked that I don't have a review here already. I used to be something of a regular.
The buffet is consistently pretty good if you want a broad selection, but I find it a little bit spendy if you're not coming in with a hearty appetite.
Personally my go-to is chicken tikka masala, extra hot. This is plenty of food for an ordinary person and almost always spiced perfectly. Flavorful, without being so hot that it's oppressive.
Of note is the naan which they'll bring to your table continuously, if you order the buffet. Consistently delicious
