As providers, Drs. Estes and McKoy bring more than two decades of specialized medical training and experience. Staff also share additional expertise and experience that greatly contribute to patient outcomes. Drs. Estes and McKoy trained together at MUSC and then at the Hughston Clinic to earn their Sports Medicine Fellowship.

Services
Our team focuses on providing state-of-the-art orthopedic care for individuals. As board certified physicians, Drs. Estes and McKoy have extensive specialty training in orthopedics, as well as fellowships in sports medicine and reconstructive surgery. Our staff is well-trained and experienced in their areas of expertise.
Dr. Estes practiced orthopedics in Iowa for three years before returning to Charleston. In his spare time, he enjoys running, golf, tennis, hanging out with his family, walking his Bernese mountain dog, and rooting for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Specializes in advanced arthroscopy of the elbow, knee, and shoulder as well as total shoulder replacements and reverse shoulder replacements.
Dr. McKoy is a board certified and fellowship trained surgeon. He has extensive experience in all aspects of orthopedics with a particular interest in sports medicine and robotic assisted, partial knee replacements known as Makoplasty. Dr. McKoy performs advanced arthroscopy of the hip, knee, and shoulder as well as total shoulder replacements and reverse shoulder replacements.
Cameron began working with Dr. Estes as a practicing Physician's Assistant in 2006. He enjoys providing quality care for patients in the clinic and assisting in the operating room. He completed his master's degree at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida where he and his wife lived before moving to Mount Pleasant in 2006.
Christina Banks is a surgical physician assistant operating and seeing clinical patients with Dr. Brodie McKoy since 2017. Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Christina graduated with a Bachelors in Nursing from the Honors College at Auburn University. She pursued her medical education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham graduating magna cum laude with a Master's of Science in Surgical Physician Assistant Studies.

Dr Estes is a great doctor, but time management has been pretty bad with this practice and
with his practice. For every appointment I waited an hour and a half on average to be seen. Usually sit in the waiting room for about 45 minutes and another 30 minutes ( if not more) at best after the medical assistant checks me into a patient’s room. That was fine with me before I had other obligations. Such a waste or time sitting there for so long, even after you inform the front desk staff and his medical assistant. All staff assured me he was on time and they will inform him I needed to leave soon

I have been under Dr. Brodie McCoy's care for several years for severely arthritic knees. Dr. McCoy replaced my right knee via Makoplasty, in November and the knee is pain free today (3 months later). Recovery has been amazingly quick. I have absolutely no regrets and am planning the next replacement this year. Dr. McCoy is a gifted surgeon, a genuine and compassionate man, and I cannot recommend him more emphatically.

Three years ago I came to see Dr. McKoy in great pain. My diagnosis of needing a hip replacement was not what I wanted to hear. When I scheduled surgery it fell on my birthday. I decided I wanted my life back and what better present could I give myself than a new hip. Dr. McKoy was so wonderful during the process and afterwards. After good physical therapy and great care I can say I have my life back now. I walk three miles a day and enjoy dancing and bicycles again.

Very disappointed in this practice.
The first time I went there with a knee issue, they asked for payment upfront and told me that the insurance company would reimburse me afterwards. I payed the bill so I could be seen because the pain I was in. Was told I needed surgery for a torn meniscus after a MRI was done at another facility. Had surgery at the Charleston Surgery Center. When I first arrived to check in, again they wanted payment upfront for the surgery for their portion of the use of the facility that my doctor was using. I asked for a itemized bill. They could not produce one because

If I could give a negative star I would. I am so infuriated and upset with this place right now! I just got of the phone with them to make an appt. for my daughters ankle. We went to the ER last night and they think she has a possible tear in her ligament. Well a couple of years ago she broke her arm and my husband lost his job at that time so we were out of insurance for a couple of months so we had a balance with them. I offered to pay half of the balance this morning so my daughter could be seen because she is in so much pain! I said I could pay half now and set up a payment plan to pay the

I would and have recommended Dr.Brodie McKoy to anyone with orthopedic issues. He, his medical assistant, Jason and team are wonderful to work with and truly care about their patients! I recently had tendon repair surgery and am very pleased with the entire experience. Dr. McKoy prayed with me and even called me personally the night after my procedure to see how I was doing! Absolutely outstanding physician!

Just had my hip replaced by dr. Mccoy. He is not only an amazing dr. But a true gentlemen that really cares for his patients. He really takes a lot of time to access your needs and tell you how he will fix it. And his staff including Jason and Valerie were incredible as well. I will tell everyone to go to him! Dr. Mckoy is an exellent doctor and an even better person. He did a complete knee replacement for me 2 months ago and I am doing great. He is doing my shoulder next week. He is very thorough and has a great staff . Jason is very responsive and helpful and Vallerie is great setting things up. I highly recommend their services to anyone.
