After 18 amazing years owning the studio, facilitating training, and working with clients, I am thrilled to be moving away from management and focusing more on teaching, where my heart calls me. I am in the process of developing some truly inspiring offerings and can't wait to share them with you.
While I am working on these offerings, I will continue to teach Livestream (and in-person when possible), work with clients one-on-one, and offer teacher training and other amazing events.Several of our wonderful teachers (me included) have come together to form a beautiful new online yoga community called Yoga Tevana.

Services
For 18 years, our goal has been to provide the San Gabriel Valley community a warm, safe place to learn and experience the wonderful self-discipline of yoga, where all our students and clients would feel welcome. After many amazing years owning the studio, facilitating trainings and working with clients, I am thrilled to be moving away from management and focusing more on teaching, where my heart calls me.
I hope this note finds you, and those you love, safe and healthy. Thank you all so much for your continued support and community over these past few months. I want you to know that my heart has been with each of you. I am beyond excited to share with you that we are evolving once again - that's the name of the game for us yogi's - to remain steady and flexible.
Taking a class privately will bring your practice to a whole new level of understanding. While yoga classes are an effective way of learning and practicing, there may come a time when a student's need can best be served in a one-on-one relationship with a teacher. In a private yoga session, there is undivided attention to your yoga practice, tailoring the session to your individual needs.
Reiki is an ancient Japanese art of hands on healing. Based on the idea that universal life energy flows through us and from us. It is a very relaxing experience where life force energy flows through the practitioner into the client. If our "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
Our goal is to help you find the inner teacher and radiant personality that are uniquely yours. Our course is inspiring, uplifting, fun, and follows the true purpose of this heart-opening work - to give you the tools to live your happiest life possible, be of service and help shape a society based in love and compassion.

This place is upstairs in a quiet town. Enough room for people to spread out. Great selection of classes for all levels and good selection of times in the morning and evenings. Instructors are helpful and friendly to encourage my practice. I take the mixed level class and feel challenged and motivated to return each time. Feel stronger and at peace at the end of each class.

There simply aren't enough mixed levels classes at this studio. There are _way too many_ beginning classes. Tuesday alone has no mixed levels, though there are about 5 classes scheduled that day: THREE beginning, 2 gentle. Friday has none either. I haven't advanced or deepened my yoga practice during the years I started going to this studio partly thanks to the severely limited mixed levels class offerings. Monday and Wednesday PM mixed levels classes are taught by Kat C, which are basically strength training classes filled with men who have followed her from her local gym, so they don

I'm not a frequent yoga-goer by any means, but after a Restorative Yoga session with Sarah Li I absolutely loved it. She was able to provide so many ways for us to adjust the poses, talked us through each position, and was very accommodating to everybody in the room. After our session, I don't think I'll go to any other instructor other than Sarah Li! 5-Stars for me!

Yoga Madre is the best Yoga Studio in the San Gabriel Valley and adjoining areas, especially as it relates to the Teacher Training that is offered by Rene Nalick and her amazing assistant teachers. The training is rooted in the lineage and Rene does an excellent job in keeping the integrity of the yoga teachings revered in its traditional practice and ancient wisdom. The Yoga Madre workshops and classes offer a well rounded holistic approach to mind/body wellness for all levels and ages. I am proud to be mentored by Rene and inspired by the Yoga Madre teachers as I have completed the 200 Hr training

Yoga Madre is the best studio in the San Gabriel Valley. I have practiced here for over five years and I love it. The teachers are attentive and warm - it's clear during every class that they are not only knowledgable about the practice, but they are passionate about it, too. My favorites are Ellen, La Ree, Keely, Shawni and Maria. I love the smaller, intimate space overlooking the Sierra Madre mountains. I feel grateful to have found a studio where I feel comfortable, welcomed and at home.

Yoga Madre is the best yoga studio I've found since I started my practice 15 years ago. The teachers effortlessly weave yoga philosophy with the classic asanas and breath awareness to create a magical experience every time I'm on the mat. I enjoy this studio so much that I am now enrolled in their 200 Hour teacher training which has been so enriching. As a result of this studio, I've found a grounding practice that keeps me fully rooted in my unchanging self. I've improved my health, healed various ailments, improved my breath work, and learned to maintain my energy in spite

I love Yoga Madre. I suscriibed for a 6 months unlimited pass and since I go a lot, it gets pretty cheap.
I have been going there 5-7 times a week for the past 3 months and I enjoy every single class. The studio is gracefully decorated and the teaching method is what I need : no work-out fanatic extreme vinyasa, no spiritual blabbering, the instructors are clearly not trying to show off how cool they look or how good they are (even though they really ARE great instructors). It is a perfect balance !
They make you feel good, do a lot of hands on adjustments, give useful tips and answer questions

Pros:
-Parking: free on the street and readily available, though this will depend on what time/day you go
-BEAUTIFUL studio: It's decorated with Indian worship type "stuff"...statues, wall hangings, paintings, etc. Gives it a great vibe.
-Pricing: same or less than other local studios...they also offer class packages that REALLY make it a good deal.
-Restorative Yoga: this is the class I take (Sunday nights) and find it to be excellent. It is my favorite among Restorative Yoga classes I've taken at other local studios. It combines stretching and relaxation and breath work.

My wife signed me up for some introductory lessons at Yoga Madre, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. The instructor (Maria) is patient and kind and very eager to help. The location is also very beautiful. The studio is on the 2nd floor with large windows that overlook Sierra Madre and the surrounding mountains. It definitely adds to the experience. I highly recommend it.

Tried this studio for the first time tonight. Fairly close to my house which was a plus! I took Erica's vinyasa flow and she rocked it!
I loved the decor in the studio and the secluded spot of the studio.
I bought 2 weeks unlimited for $30- great deal! It's for new students only. Lets see how many classes i can attend in these next 2 weeks ;)

By no means am I a yoga-fanatic but my friend raved about this spot so much I decided to try it.
I was quite apprehensive as my past yoga experiences haven't been thrilling.
This was a great space - hardwood floors with beautiful art, furniture, and plants.
Ellen was a patient teacher, moving at a nice pace so that us newbies could follow along without constantly trying to catch up.
Parking wasn't hard to find - it was a Thursday evening around 7p. On Sierra Madre it's 2 hour parking until 6p. They're also a small lot behind Yoga Madre.

I love the gentle yoga class with Kitty every Tues/Thurs. Kitty offers great insight, does not push people which helps avoid injury, and says she's a student of yoga herself. I always feel welcome and rejuvenated after this class. Thank you Kitty!
Oh! This place can be a challenge to find. Look for the B.LA. store up an alley where AVEDA is located. Go to the end of the alley and make a left. The entrance is there and climb the stairs. NOT handicapped accessible.

I really liked this place. Past tense. Ellen's class is great but crowded. They have had a huge change over of teachers recently.
The male teachers, Mike and David are great. The others, I'm not so sure. The best teacher, Carolyn, is gone and I can't capture that feeling of refreshment with the others.
The expiration date for the classes was always a bummer at YogaMadre.

I've been dying to try this place but just couldn't justify paying for classes when I used to have an LA Fitness membership and didn't take advantage of the classes enough. Enter www.groupon.com to sway me. Groupon had a deal that I just couldn't refuse - 5 classes for $29. Hey, I just can't turn down a great deal.
Today, I gave it a try. I signed up for the beginning class because I know I'm way out of shape. Plus, even though I've taken classes at LA Fitness before I didn't feel like I learned "about" yoga. The class I took was led by David

My girlfriend has been asking me to try a yoga class with her for months. Every weekend she'd be after me. "Come on, you'll like it. It's relaxing. It'll help you with your road rage." Yeah, like ANYTHING could help me with that.
Now, I consider myself to be a pretty manly guy. I studied martial arts for years, I lift weights, I wear steel-toed boots. Truthfully, yoga...well, it always seemed to me that yoga is for...sissies. There, I said it. Sorry.
Anyway, I finally ran out of excuses today. I was thinking about telling Girlfriend that I pulled a hammie. "
