Hilltop Deli was established in 2012 by a family with deep roots in Jerome's past. We've come to once again be a part of the local community in the Verde Valley. A solid meal! Had the turkey with avocado and sprouts on the herb garlic bread. The bread was delicious I loved it and the turkey was thinly sliced and tasted very fresh. The broccoli cheddar soup was good, and the chip selection was nice. Overall a solid meal but not super memorable, but would still recommend it for a stop after a hike. The other sandwiches I saw people coming out with looked great! I would go back .

I was working and did not have time for a full lunch break. So I called my order in at 12:10 pm. I was told my order would be ready in 15 min. I gave them a little extra time and arrived at 12:30 pm. I paid for the food and waited. A man behind me then ordered his food. There was another gentlemen waiting, I asked if he called his order in? He said no. I saw meals coming out. Before you go anywhere else in Jerome, you have to come here!!!!!! Literally the best sandwiches on this side of AZ. They are huge and expertly crafted. Came in on a Saturday just after opening. Extremely friendly and personable people work here! I'm a fan of the "popular" spots in Jerome, but this has blown me away. The craft bottle soda pops are great, as are the sandwich recommendations. I will be back!

So happy we decided to eat here! Service is great really fun and helpful with menu and about town. Beautiful views. I also felt very covid safe. So the #25 with garlic and herb bread with toppings of your choice with a side of Au jus! Is seriously delicious my husband was jealous so much flavor worth the calories!! I couldn't get a pic of it because once I started eating couldn't stop. Get it and please support this awsome business.

After a hike we wanted something quick and easy to fuel back up. We spotted Hilltop Deli and took a chance. With Covid precautions the inside of the restaurant was closed, so we ordered at a take out window. Service was pleasant and funny. We ordered, got our drinks, then sat and waited. For deli sandwiches it took quite some time to get our food. There was only one customer ahead of us, so not sure what the delay was. Our food came and everything looked and tasted good, so no big deal on the wait. The view was nice from the patio and if back in town would probably stop again.

I have never left a negative review on Yelp, but we could not let the service and quality of food slide this time. 3 of 4 of our sandwiches were wrong - way wrong. When we asked to fix one of them, they fixed it by wiping off the incorrect items (sprouts, avocado) and leaving others (bacon) still on - so it came back to us a mess like a half-eaten sandwich. The other two sandwiches were supposed to be turkey and both were ham. We didn't even bother trying to get them corrected. Two of us got sick not long after eating. Worst dining experience in a long time... all this after tipping them 15

Have you ever had an exceptional deli sandwich while drinking a very rare specialty soda? Well I did, at hilltop deli. I'm a sucker for customer service and the cutie with glasses went about and beyond to help us pic the best sammies. Oh yea... if you're a city queen like me, the JAMS are also 5star quality. If I could give this place 10stars I would but I can't so I just left a cute tip $$. We'll be back!

What a cute little deli on the hilltop in Jerome overlooking the Verde Valley! My son and I stopped here for a bite to eat after shopping The many cool shops in this hillside town! Because of Covid, we could not eat indoors but the patio seating suited us just fine. Great deli sandwiches and salads that you can't go wrong with. They even have IPA beer which my son loves! And their homemade lemonade was totally awesome!

Amazing French Dip, Fun Interactive Service, Awesome View:
Scott helped our group decide what to eat. He had such an awesome fun vibe. We ultimately went with the French Dip which he proclaimed would be the best we've would ever have. "Go with the garlic and herb bread, because it's not even an option." He was so right. It's a go-to dish for me anyways, so I can say with confidence it's the best french dip I've ever had. Everyone dining in the patio area was very friendly with each other, and Scott wasn't far away trying to be attentive while entertaining

Did you know that climbing a handful of steps in Jerome could lead you to the greatest sandwiches of all time? Well you do now. After a day spent wandering through this magical old mining town we were ready for some good eats. We had been in another local shop and were told this was the best place in Jerome. Had my first sandwich today. I ordered the Chipotle turkey melt. The sandwich itself was good. I was very disappointed in the appearance of the bread as it was burnt. It was originally hard burnt but once the sauce sat in it, it softened up but very unappealing and didn't eat. I wouldn't mind going back and trying something else but I hope the bread isn't burnt again..

Not only do they use great quality meats, the sandwich ratio is on point, the white loaf is incredible, crusty on the outside (you'll be rocking them crumbs proudly) soft on the inside.
They had "pineapple water" on the board, and I just can't pass up that tropical taste. It's even better than it sounds. Color me refreshed!
