For those of you who already know Verde Lea Market, there's not much I have to say. This little deli and grill has been around for ages, many of us grew up eating the burgers, Italian subs and mouth-watering Philly cheesesteaks there and enjoyed spending our lunch hours in the comfortable yet quirky dining area with friends and family.

Really liked it. An odd, old-fashioned feel, a business that can't decide whether it's a deli or a convenience store. We made use of their deli and the fish tacos were delicious. A lot of people were eating inside and there's also an outside area but if or when I go back, it might just be to get take-out.

Stopped here on our way to Sedona. Great small town feel. Food was great and tasted like it was homemade. Great customer service. The owner im assuming even came over while we were eating to see how the food was and made small talk with us. Will be stopping here on our way back home and anytime we are up north.

We came here because of the photos of the food. The Philly looked great so I had to order it. We also got the BBQ burger and a large order of fries.
The deli is well liked by the locals it seems which is was comforting to see.
The Philly was good and well portioned with meat and tasted good. I love dipping my sandwiches like a French dip so I asked for a side of consommƩ which was paired with another menu item. It tasted great together.
The BBQ burger was good as well including the sear. Both sandwiches were warm.
The fries were my favorite kind, natural fit with skin on. The first

After you pull into the parking lot and face the screen door that says tiny closet space, remember they had a big sign out front. Walk in, and you'll find it's spacious. Almost warehouse spacious. In fact, the air was clean and circulating, and I had no qualms about sitting in the dining area for lunch.
The main feature of this store is a restaurant. Local, Mexican, country cooking awaits you. The owners are so happy to see us when we drop in, their smiles stretch from ear to ear. I try to order something different each time I go there, but they are famous for their burgers. The first

Our side by side broke down and we ended up in Cottonwood, hungry. Drove through with a trailer and could not find a place to park and eat. Found a hole in the wall place with fast, friendly service, but best of all, AMAZING FOOD! The menu was diverse with American sandwich choices, but the Mexican food was delicious. Would come back in a heartbeat. Almost glad our Sedona trip was ruined or we may never have discovered this gem in Cottonwood. When the SxS is fixed, we are planning a trip back, just to eat here. Also, the bathroom was very clean!!

Incredible food and incredible service here! The chefs who took our order were lively and positive people who seemed happy to have the opportunity to serve us some good food! The lady who brought us our dinner was also very friendly and genuine. The food was not only affordable but also delicious. The store was pleasant and organized and we got some ice cream for desert!

First let me say the people that work here are the best ! They are so friendly. We were staying in Cottonwood for a few days and decided to grab a quick lunch. We both opted for the carnitas torta. It was delicious. They have a pretty extensive menu and I actually came back again and got one of their sandwiches which was equally good . The torta was perfectly cooked, the bread they use was delicious which just the right amount of grill. The carnitas was seasoned so well and cooked perfectly. My husband got the onions and jalapeƱos on his. I did not. He also got French fries, which looked homemade

I was interested in authentic Mexican food and this is not it. The salsa is thin and has so much chili powder and I had to ask for more chips (10 chips)to get even for 2 people. O was interested in beans. I ordered torta and carmelos both with chicken. I counted 3 tiny bites of chicken on each flour tortilla and the beans is equal to 1/2 tsp on the tortilla with cabbage. Not my idea of real Mexican food. Sad!

Such a pleasant experience! Verde Lea is a charming deli and grill offering an array of burgers, sandwiches and Mexican options. They also carry grocery essentials and a respectable selection of craft beer. I loved the corner store vibes and community feel. Also the beautiful, vibrant mural outside.
The owner/manager/gentleman running the place was genuinely warm and gracious. The friendliest person we encountered in our whole trip through Arizona, which makes this stop especially memorable. That torta was really good, too! Thank you for the recommendation and the hospitality.

We were referred to this market when we asked at our hotel, the Iron Horse Inn, where to get sandwiches made to take along on our hike the next day. The Verde Lea Market and Deli had a great selection of everything we needed. The customer service was excellent and when the person preparing our sandwiches (the owner?) learned they were for the next day, he wrapped them in plastic with condiments on the side, included napkins. The sandwiches were delicious and in great shape when we ate them approximately 16 hours later after time spent in our cooler and backpack!

I went for the Indian fry bread after checking their online menu. There was the honey one and the beans/cheese one listed. When we got there, the guy at the counter said they don't have it and it's a make shift one that they use flat bread for. I let him know that on the online menu it is specifically listed. He said he didn't know about that.
Ok, well my second choice was a cheese quesadilla. When I got it, I was further disappointed. For $3.99, it hardly had any cheese in it. Additionally, there was about and inch to an inch and a half of just plain tortilla around the circumference
