Our daughters deserve the best education available. This truth is a driving force behind everything we do at The Academy at Penguin Hall (APH). Too often, girls' strengths in the classroom are overshadowed, ignored, or untapped. We designed a school where all girls can be seen, heard, and challenged - especially those who often go unnoticed in other environments.
We're not just an independent all-girls high school. Here, students progress through an academically rigorous curriculum within a supportive and empowering environment. As a result, Penguin Hall students are well-rounded; they see what's possible, and ultimately surpass their goals in all areas, blazing trails wherever they go!.

We are beyond words happy with our decision to send our daughter to APH. We see positive changes in our daughter every day since she started there. We see her confidence growing and hear her finding her voice. The staff has been amazing and communication has been excellent. This is our daughter’s first year here and we see so much growth already, she is excited to go to school every day. We are grateful for this very special place. If you want to see your daughter empowered and challenged I urge you to tour this school and set up a shadow day.

Penguin Hall is a special place. The theater teacher is a real actor and director, the art teacher is a real artist a gifted oil painter, and the chorus teacher is a real singer with a beautiful vocal range. It’s hard to get real artists to teach kids...but this school has somehow done it. Dean Tsouvalas is a very kind person and a gifted marketer, Molly Martins is beautiful elegant woman worthy of imitation — they are both visionaries. I think the school needs a few more years to really be what wants to be —but anyone who comes now is important in shaping the school, so it’s special. I

Daughter entered APH junior year as she needed to grow academically and emotionally. Within the first few months my daughter had found a new home! She gained confidence, became a leader, and challenged herself whenever she could. Upon graduation she stated she wished she listened to our recommendation to enter APH as a freshman. We told her the 2 years at APH were equal to 4 years of public.
I love to continue to follow the growth if APH. So many exciting changes in the future!
Best decision we made as a family!

APH is a fabulous school and I highly recommend it. My daughter attended APH as a member of its inaugural freshman class and absolutely loved her four years. She received an amazing education, grew in confidence and self-assurance, and emerged as an educated, enlightened, and empowered young woman. The faculty is amazing, the administration is thoughtful and innovative, and the facilities are gorgeous. Several of my friends' daughters have enrolled at APH after hearing me rave about the school and they all tell me how much they and their daughters love APH. If you're looking for a high school on

I attended APH my junior and senior year (graduated in ‘18) after they offered the Naz girls a place when we closed our doors. During that time I liked the school. Teachers and staff were very supportive and helpful. After graduating and seeing how they handle different situations, I am very saddened to say I do not recommend APH for you daughter.

I am totally impressed by the work APH is doing to educate young women. They are providing young women with a great opportunity. The campus is a welcoming and beautiful place to learn. The teachers, staff and administration care about each individual student and work hard to help them achieve their goals both in and out of the classroom.

I am a 2019 graduate of the Academy at Penguin Hall. This school changed my life for the better. I was suffering at my public high school through freshman and sophomore year. I felt different and excluded and began the search for a private school that would fit my needs. I hated the idea of an all girls school but I liked what the school represented so I went to an open house. Flash forward to next fall I'm attending orientation for new students. APH found someone who felt as if they had no voice, and instead of speaking for me, they handed me a megaphone so that the world could not ignore me.

We are the parents of a freshman and have nothing but wonderful things to say about Penguin Hall. Before posting our review, we read all of the prior comments which seem to land on 1 or 5 stars. We have been impressed with the mission statement and devotion from the school’s leadership team. The advisors and teachers have been great to meet and have a genuine passion for teaching. Our Daughter is settling in well and looks forward to getting to school early! Our review is based on current experience and the confidence we get on the vision of Penguin Hall going forward. We hope to see the school
