Over 30 years ago, the late M. Joy Carlson, a home care aide and founder of Helpmates, Inc., recognized the need for homemaker and personal care services in the home for people to live independently. Since that time the company has evolved into an integrated network of services to carry out the founder's vision of people aging in the comfort of their own home.

Established in 2005, Helpmates Giving Foundation is a 501 (C 3) non - profit organization that was established by the Helpmates, Inc. Board of Directors to formalize their commitment to helping others in need and making a difference in their lives. The Foundation consists of three different programs, with each having specific requirements of eligibility.
Helpmates, Inc. Skilled Home Health divisions, Helpmates Home Nurses (HHN) and Clearfield Community Nurses (CCN), provide medical services in the comfort of a patient's home. Whether recovering from surgery, illness, or an injury, our services will put you back in control of your health. Medical Social Services include visits from a social worker for assessment, counseling (for families and patients), and community resource planning.
A medical alert system (also known as a personal response system) is available through Helpmates, Inc. With a medical alert system in the home, help is available with the touch of a button. The medical alert system has the smallest "help" button available, is comfortable, convenient, and waterproof.
