Any cruise ship lets you see the world. Windstar brings it close enough so you can fully live it. With just 148 to 342 guests per voyage, you will feel like you are on your own private yacht. See, hear, smell, taste, and feel what it's like to sail on a lovely yacht into a small port, explore a hidden beach, see a parade of penguins, taste a spicy Norwegian Bacalao stew, and altogether lose yourself in a strange and wondrous culture.

Windstar's small cruise ships and personalized approach bring you closer to each destination and every port and an unpretentious and relaxed ambiance onboard. Genuine, award-winning service that aims to surprise and delight and savvy travelers that you'll soon form fast friendships with. Once-in-a-lifetime shore excursions and chatting with the Captain on the open Bridge.
Services
Windstar Cruises operates a six-ship fleet of small sailing and all-suite ships visiting approximately 330 ports in 2020 sailing throughout Europe, the Caribbean, Costa Rica and the Panama Canal, Asia, Alaska, Canada and New England, Central America, Mexico, US West Coast and cruising year-round in Tahiti.
We scour the world for amazing places just this side of unreachable, then seek out the most authentic ways for guests to experience them - in small groups that are easily absorbed by local cultures rather than intruding on them. Our itineraries are port intensive, often with exclusive landfalls larger ships can't access.
Nowhere else in the world will you find such a stunning juxtaposition of ancient traditions and contemporary cultures. Mystic temples give way to soaring skyscrapers while tranquil, timeless villages neighbor pulsating, modern cities.

Windstar brings you the best of both worlds, taking you to the heart of cosmopolitan marvels like Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Tokyo and the exotic shores of small villages and unspoiled islands of Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.Retrace the route of the Russian-American fur trade as you island-hop along the Aleutian archipelago, and cross the Pacific as guest lecturers enthrall you with tales of the Japanese islands ahead.
The Black Sea rivals the Mediterranean for history and attractions, yet it attracts only half as many tourists. Partly because many Black Sea ports can only accommodate smaller cruise ships like ours, and perhaps also because it requires a bit of an adventurous spirit to come here. This is the crossroads of Europe and Asia, the Silk Road and Spice Road, Christianity and Islam, so you never know quite what to expect.
Explore Australia, New Zealand and Tasmania by land and sea, and you'll discover a whole new meaning to the term wild life-including a memorable sunset penguin parade on Australia's Philip Island. Windstar gets you up close and personal with countless species from wombats, dingoes, kangaroos and wallabies to wedge-tailed shearwaters, black swans, manta rays, and killer whales-you can even hug a koala in Mooloolaba.

WINDSTAR HAS NOT HONORED WHAT THEY ADVERTISE! I’ve tried to cruise with Windstar - twice. First, my husband and I booked a Scottish Isles cruise in 2018 when Windstar completely changed the itinerary; the only Scottish port left was departure from Edinburgh for a cruise to Norway. Norway was not part of our planned 3 week Scotland trip. Today, a… friend and I called to take advantage of air+cruise round trip from Charlotte for cruises from St. Maarten as published on their website. Their agent reported that they had no more availability from Charlotte because ALL flights from Charlotte

We really enjoyed our cruise from Athens to Venice on board the Wind Surf, the largest sailing cruise ship in the world. With its friendly & attentive crew, its itineraries that usually include stops away from the large ports & its Open Bridge policy, that displays a rarity in the cruise industry, Windstar Cruises truly offers an experience 180… degrees from ordinary. To get an impression of the ship and my experienced cruise kindly visit my vide review of Windstar's Wind Surf under the following YouTube link:

Super amazing platform, easy to use and quick withdrawal. I have been using this platform together with the most recommended Forex strategy on the internet from Mrs Peggy Abbott and so far i have no complains, making close to $7000-$15000 on a weekly basis. She is really great, best in her field and unique among others. i am thankful and want you all to partake from her good works. My husband and I were scheduled to take a cruise from Barcelona to Lisbon on February 18. Windstar cancelled the cruise and is not refunding our airfare, just $700. Disgusting! We lost our airfare but Windstar lost customers and obviously does not care.
I enjoyed my past cruises with Windstar and they will never get a recommendation from me.

The short version is I would have to be exceptionally picky if I were to find anything wrong with this cruise line or the boat. As an avid cruiser (20+) this experience was simply magical. The two things most of us dread; embarkation and debarkation right? With Windstar it's less than 20 minutes to get on and 20 minutes to get off. What a relief. The service from the staff is exceptional. They learn your name and what you like (from food to drink) it's all about you. I also have to point out the size of the cabin; what a nice feeling to not feel like you're in a shoebox for

We've taken many luxury cruises with other cruise lines, but this was our first Windstar cruise.

We departed Lisbon on the Star Breeze on April 26, 2019, to Madeira, the Canary Islands, Morocco, Portimao, and back to Lisbon.

And we quickly discovered that Windstar is not a luxury cruise line. The ship is small, only accommodating 212 passengers, but that is where the luxury ends.

Many of the ship's systems do not work properly. The WiFi doesn't work in most staterooms or in some of the public areas. We had to go to the lobby to get WiFi on our iPhones and iPad, and in the lobby

BEWARE WINDSTAR
We were just on a cruise on the Star Breeze. This is hardly a first class experience. The ship is worn out and they should not be charging full price. We rented a large suite, $18,000 for ten nights and the suite looked like a cheap hotel. mold in the shower, mattress was completely worn out with huge depressions from previous guests use, apparently using it for the last 15 years. Wall paper peeling off, mill work falling off. Etc, Etc.
Complained to Windstar and they offered us $250 credit, what a joke.
Wouldn't sail with this line unless i was a drift at sea and they found

Last day of Greek Isle cruise on flagship boat. So disappointed. Anticipated semi-luxe experience. Shocked that food and service on Royal Caribbean is better. Public areas shabby. Anticipated something like Avalon lounges. Especially critical as almost all cabins have no balconies. Itinerary great.

Ship: Star Pride
Destination: San Juan & the Virgin Islands

I never wanted to go on a cruise because I didn't want to be surrounded by thousands of people, a week on a floating apartment building doesn't cut it for me.

My wife and I talked about cruises and told her perhaps if the right cruise came around, I would think about it. She took that as a YES and 3 weeks later we're booked. Being married for over 28 years...I guess she can get away with that...LOL!

What made this cruise awesome for my wife, 11-year-old daughter and myself was that the max capacity of the ship is

First Windstar cruise was two years ago on the Star Breeze for our honeymoon- Barcelona to Rome. It was wonderful other than that I was seasick but, that's my own fault. It was my first cruise of any kind, and I feel spoiled by it. I don't think I could do a "big cruise ship" after doing Windstar. Not once did I feel crowded or that the trip wasn't worth every dime we paid for it.
We were concerned that we would be the only 30-somethings on the cruise, as Windstar seemed to be geared more toward retirees. But my husband had such a wonderful experience with his family,

2 days on the #Windstar #StarBreeze #GaelickExplorer and got the hell off!!!! RIPOFF

The Windstar Star Breeze misrepresents itself as a luxury cruise experience with beautifully appointed accommodations, exceptional public areas, 2 luxury dining rooms, full spa and gym facilities.

Upon boarding I quickly surveyed the situation and my heart sank.

The bedside plug was damaged. I was unable to get power to the CPAP machine. The adapters would not work it took 3 trips by maintenance until they found a workable solution.

The bed is 2 singles pressed against each other. Something I was specifically

We have been cruising with Windstar nearly every year for a decade. We love this cruise line. By the end of the first day, nearly all the crew members know your name and every time we cruise, we see friendly faces - crew members we've gotten to know from previous cruises.

The destination ports are another reason we love Windstar. When we've cruised on large ships, the port cities turn into giant, temporary bar/club/duty free zones, packed shoulder to shoulder. When we arrive with Windstar, it's daily life. It's authentic. It's real.

We just took our 11th cruise with them

Planned and paid for a trip a year out to escape to the Caribbean on Windstar's Starpride. Their specialty is smaller, boutique cruises with excellent attention to detail and top notch service. That was not our experience! After 3 days on the Starpride with intermittent power and AC, we decided to disembark in St. Lucia. Not an easy feat leaving a cruise ship in a foreign country! We decided to depart after the Ship's Captain could not assure us power and electricity would be restored. We simply did not want to sail another 4 days without power or AC. Both our Travel Agent and

I have traveled the last three years on the Windstar cruise line. I am booked to travel in July. Today my travel agent told me that the price dropped on the cruise. But she told me that I would have too loose my deposit too tale advantage of it. So booking early is really a curse. So Today I had to forfeit my deposit so i could take advantage of the sale.
I dont think this is fair . This will be my last cruise on the windstar. I recommend too everyone to wait until the last minute for the deals. Booking early does no good, even too repeat sailors.

I am a travel agent who has sailed Windstar at least 7 times; 2 back-to-back 14-day cruises in Europe and at least three 7-day Caribbean cruises with my husband. I have sold Windstar to friends and customers. I have always found Windstar very accommodating and easy to work with until now.

I recommended the Star Pride sailing roundtrip San Juan for my daughter and her husband to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. They are 39/42 years old and were concerned about going on a small ship. I convinced them that the ship and the itinerary would please them. They were very excited about the ports

Horrible - would never book with them again! I have taken 8 cruises with other cruise lines. they are changing our ports (obviously due to the horrific situation in many ports like St. Maarten) and adding more "at sea" days and REFUSE to refund any portion of the insurance paid for $472. This is nuts and not very "customer service" oriented. Never would I book through them again. Oh - this is after a message and email to our booking "representative" that is no longer with the company! No calls or emails returned!!!

Only negative was no balconies on this ship. Really missed that.

Would definitely book a different Windstar ship with a balcony in the future.

WOW!! I forgot to write a review after our cruise in 2015. I just read all the one and two star reviews here and I am totally surprised. We were on the Star Legend for the Gaelic Explorers cruise (Dublin to several ports in Scotland).

We could not have been more impressed - beautiful, clean ship - huge staterooms - friendly, efficient, accommodating staff - best food ever with great presentation - small, rural ports with no congestion.

I would give 6 stars if I could. We have just signed up for "Lands Of the Midnight Sun" in August 2017 and we can hardly wait. We have done other

Let's go over the PROS:

1) STATEROOM/CABIN: Largest standard stateroom ever at 275 square feet. Amazing comfort except for poor bedding/pillows. Walk-in closet, upscale L'Occitane bath products, tub/shower and power outlets for both European and North American appliances (No USB slots).

2) CUISINE: Food! Food! Food! Excellent and the best at-sea cuisine I have had since the early days of Princess or Sitmar Cruises. High quality in taste, selection and presentation. Room Service was just as good and dining in-suite was a delight!

3) PRIVATE EVENT: Windstar's Complimentary Private
