The Bike Project of Urbana-Champaign, is open with a combination of open hours and appointment times. The Bike Project of Urbana-Champaign, in partnership with the U of I Campus Bike Center, gave away around 40 bikes this holiday season. The Bike Project offers refurbished bikes for sale. These are donated bikes that have been repaired by our volunteers and have passed inspection.

The Bike Project is a 501c3 non-profit organization and a group of volunteers who aim to help each other learn about bikes and expand the biking community in central Illinois, namely Champaign-Urbana. We accept donations of bicycles and bike parts that assist others in repairing, building, and purchasing their bikes.
The Bike Project of Urbana-Champaign (TBP) draws its unique characteristics from its history of cooperative grassroots energy and values, including providing inclusive and open shop space and affordable re-built bikes. TBP established operations in the downtown Urbana shop location in 2006 to provide a space, tools, to repair bikes, share knowledge, hold classes, and advocate for bikes in the Urbana-Champaign community.

Women and Trans Folk Night is exclusively reserved for women and trans (including non-binary) people to learn about bike maintenance from other women and trans mechanics. Our Downtown Urbana shop is located at 202 S. Broadway, Room 24, in the Independent Media Center building, in downtown Urbana, Illinois.
