Traditionally, voice lessons, or singing lessons, could mean that the teacher is only working with a student on the vocal technique. For aspects of singing such as diction, phrasing, style, and more, a student might be referred to a vocal coach, also known as a voice coach. I’ve been going to Irina for about a year, and I went from being someone who thought I couldn’t sing at all to being able to sing whistle notes and opera. Most importantly, Irina has taught me the foundation of proper vocal technique and breath support, which has helped develop my voice so that I can tackle practically any song in any style, with zero damage to my voice.

Irina is the best vocal coach I have ever had! After years of vocal coaching with other people which felt like a waste of time, in just a handful of lessons Irina corrected all of my issues with tone and pitch and has taught me the value of breath support. My singing voice had improved dramatically just after a few lessons working with Irina. Each lesson, you can expect exercises to improve how you sing notes, support breath and expand vocal range. Then you’ll work on a song you like later with guidance on singing it in the best way suited to your voice. Irina marks the song to emphasize the best qualities in your voice instead of forcing your voice to fit into a generic rendition of the song. Lessons go by quickly - an enjoyable experience and highly recommended.

My daughter enjoyed a few private lessons with Irina, and began going to group lessons. She says lessons at Beautiful Voice have helped to develop her voice and breathing techniques. She gained confidence that helped with auditions, and performances. Her summer schedule kept her away but she is very eager to get back to training at Beautiful Voice!

I have to say, I never viewed myself as much of a singer. I never thought that I had any vocal talent at all. Or that I could develop singing ability which I never thought I had. But then, I took a chance, and reached out to Beautiful Voices owned and operated by Irina Fields. As soon as I met Irina and started to take vocal lessons with her. Irina is a wonderful and gifted singing teacher. All the other instructors I have worked with, and there were many, didn't provide any or meaningful improvement. I think the reason is that their techniques are flawed. One instructor made students use popsicle sticks to press the tongue down while singing and another made the students wrap their tongues in paper towel while singing "gee" and "hee" both resulting only in hoarse voices and no vocal improvement. I have learned that this is vocal abuse that doesn’t improve tone or pitch. It is frustrating to spend time and money and not see results
