PRW Steel Supply began as Paso Robles Welding, founded in 1972 by Keith Kirkland. Keith set out with an extensive background in agricultural, industrial, and manufacturing processes to fill the area need for welding and fabrication in California's Central Coast. What began as a one-man business operating out of a pickup truck soon became a full steel fabrication shop.

In August of 2009 PRW Steel was acquired by Mid-Valley Pipe & Steel, Inc. PRW, now a division of Mid-Valley Pipe & Steel encompasses three locations to serve you. PRW Steel Supply is a full service steel distribution, processing, and fabrication facility.

In the main shop theres a gentleman named Jose. Very knowledgeable, very polite and will get you what you need. Great place for getting steel and aluminum.

First time visit. The staff were very helpful. I was able to find the steel I needed relatively easy. I had a bit of confusion about getting some cuts, but that's just because I couldn't find the chop station. It all ended well. PRW Steel Supply is a good resource for this community.

Very poor customer service. If you are looking for specific metal and they do not have it they will not help you find it.

Went to PRW to get a basic order of materials for a diy project. The order consisted of: one 4x8 sheet of expanded metal, one 4x8 sheet of 16 gauge metal and two 4x4 sheets of 14 gauge metal. Pretty darn basic!
The results... the sheet of expanded metal loaded on my truck was 4x10. I had to point out to the young fella that the order was for 4x8.
Two days later, I received a phone call that the remainder of my order was ready for pickup. Upon arrival I waited at least 10 minutes in the front office prior to being helped. I then proceeded with my pick up ticket to the shop to retrieve my order

Wow the staff is great but I especial order an item and I got I was surprised. The showed me the picture of what was going to look like. I'll just post a picture and the one on the rail is what going to look like and what they made was just a coil a useless coil.

Call to get metal for my fabrication class and they were very helpful. I called a bunch of times because of my own stupidity but they were still patient and polite. Will for sure order more steel through them soon! Thanks

Looks like they have a good selection of stuff. Only problem I had with the place was I asked them to cut a large piece of scrap sheet metal down and they told me they don't cut things. Have been doing metal work for over 30 years and I have never had a shop tell me they won't sheer a piece of sheet metal.

This is a very nice new store. They have supplies for welding hobbyists as well as large fabrication jobs. You should check out their DIY Santa Maria-style BBQ kits! I had a very small project and needed a little piece of steel but they were still incredibly kind and customer service oriented. I can't wait to need a bigger steel project so I can come back!
