I have had 5 piercings done here over the last few years and I've always had a great experience. They take great care of their clients and will give you the best advice even if it means they won't get a sale that day.

My experience was stellar. The site is neat and tidy. The staff are professional and patient. I was in for an eyebrow piercing by Alex - the process was quick and straightforward. At time of writing (10/18/2021), masks are required and only one client allowed inside at a time. I would visit them again!

I got my nostril pierced by Raechelle and it was amazing! She really made me feel comfortable throughout the experience. Raechelle was very professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a new piercer! My piercing healed great and I love it!

I got my ears pierced here in August—my first piercing—and it turned out to be a nightmare. I wanted to go to a reputable piercing place instead of a Claire’s at a mall, but Claire’s might have been better.
The skin grew over the back of my piercing, and I had to go to the doctor to get the piercing removed from my earlobe! It was also infected. I cleaned it every day for weeks when I got it, and it looked good at the follow-up appointment. I was very clear about this being my first piercing and needing thorough aftercare instructions.

I got a floating navel pricing but my pricer pierced it with a 14g but 1/2in bar WAY TOO SMALL! It only took 3-4 days for it to start to embed had to go to different shop to get a longer bar (the only reason I didn't go back to steady is because my work schedule didn't line up and another place could get me in). I was in a lot of pain due to sheer swelling.. I eventually just took it out because the embed jewelry was giving early signs of infection. irritated that for pricing, then getting fixed at another place then doctor the dumb thing cost upwards of 200

The staff are really personable and take covid seriously. It can be really hard to find a good piercer and Selina totally understood my concerns. They have a collaborative approach rather than the paternalistic attitude you get from many piercers. I wouldn't get pierced anywhere else.

Got my bridge pierced by Selina, can't recommend enough! It looks amazing and the experience was super clean, professional, and overall great :) Super happy with my piercing!! Selina was super helpful and helped walk me through the piercing process and everything I should know. I originally went in to get an industrial piercing but after looking at my ear she explained to me why that wouldn’t be a good idea and the complications it could have due to how my ear was shaped. Although it was kind of a bummer it was nice to have the honesty and it assured me that I was in good hands.
I ended up getting two other piercings that day and so far both of them have been healing very nicely.
I will be going back there for any other piercings I want to get in the future

I've had two great experiences at Steady. The first was a few years ago with a tattoo artist who now has her own shop. The most recent was with Selena who helped me find a piercing and jewelry that fit my body. She was kind and welcoming. The piercing table is very sturdy and I felt safe there as a fat person.

Great experience. I got a septum piercing by Alex. Great piercer, straight to the point. Sadly their jewelry section is low but overall a great place. Everything was clean. He explained all the steps to take to clean and keep clean your piercing. They give you a lil bag with stuff to help clean your piercing. There's a pamphlet that tells you all you need to know about taking care of your piercing but also what piercing you got, size, and who did it.

Super clean, professional, courteous, and communicative. I called for a nose repiercing and they had a wait list. They called back a week later and got me in right away. Appointment started right on time and they had me out in 15 minutes. Highly recommended!

I just got another ear piercing and it was great. They were super cautious with COVID, everything was super clean. The gal who did my ear was super gentle and explained everything to me while she was doing it. I will definitely be coming back again.

Would not recommend to my fellow young women of color. I felt talked down to by the artist that worked on me, David Kvam. I went in with my friend who is white & she witnessed this artist project his passive aggressive energy toward me and it made her uncomfortable to the point of wanting to leave. His energy discouraged me from getting the tattoo but I went through with it anyway.

I got two sets of earlobe piercings at Steady. Each time the person at the register made me sign a document saying someone explained to me that everything was properly sanitized, even though no one had had this conversation with me.

Fast forward to a week or two after I got my second set of earlobe piercings-- my skin was started to grow over the ring. At first I thought it was a blood blister and planned on persisting through the pain. Eventually I had to go to another piercer, who informed me that I'll probably need to seek medical and attention and that I will have a noticeable scar. He

I've been in here a couple times for jewelry/piercing-related questions and every time I feel I'm treated with such respect. I think a lot of tattoo and piercing places treat clients who don't have a ton of tattoos and piercings like they're a little less cool, and I've never felt that attitude here. They don't judge you if you have a slightly lower budget, either, whereas I've definitely felt that from other places. Thanks so much - keep doing what y'all do!

This was my first tattoo ever and I was so nervous when I first came into the shop. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful, and Taylor, who sketched my tattoo, was super sweet. She listened to what I wanted and made adjustments as needed. The overall process of getting the tattoo was very fast, she explained the aftercare instructions, and I paid and was on my way! Really happy with this place. Selina pierced my earlobe, she was awesome, everything was super clean, not a long wait, she wasn't rushed at all, very clear instructions on care, etc. Seven weeks later, my piercing started to get a little infected (it was fine for the first six weeks, so I'd probably blame it on my small children with dirty hands, not at all on the piercing job), so I went in tonight to get it checked out. Alex looked at it, switched it for a longer post because of the swelling, gave me some good advice and it's already less swollen and less red and I'm crossing

This shop was super clean and I was greeted by the front desk as soon as I entered I only wanted my lower nose pierced. I waited about 15 minutes and was brought to the back, my nose was cleaned in and out with alcohol and the process was quick and it didn't hurt at all!

This review is especially for Selina Ryan who is the piercer at Steady Tattoo. It is not often that you see people so committed to the work that they do and making their clients feel special and taken care of.

Steady is a great place to go if you're getting your first tattoo or if you're searching for an open spot on your skin canvas to put that sweet pineapple tat. Or whatever. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and there is true talent there. I see Taylor Dees who i followed from another tattoo shop in Minneapolis. I followed her (not like on the street like a creep but i followed up with her via email) because i honestly don't want anyone else putting their art work on me. At least not permanently.
