Just got back from our family camping trip. Stayed for 2 nights. Friday-Saturday, & Sunday morning we left.
We enjoyed the general stay but it’s very unfortunate that the majority of my family members felt uncomfortable because of the people constantly staring at us because of our ethnicity/race. It is indefinite that the owners and people who are regulars/live in the site are very patriotic and supporters of a specific party. Hence me saying that the people in the community were constantly staring at us and what we did.... unfortunate that it had to come to those terms. We meant no harm to

I keep my RV there, full time seasonal, while it's not the biggest campground with the most amenities, they make up for it in family an friendly atmosphere. The owners, Doug & Pam are on site and do their best to make sure everything and everyone are good to go.....and I can't lie, they have probably the most epic fireworks up there every single year!! Best I've ever seen, hands down ....so if you wanna have a great trip in the woods, don't pass up a chance to stay at Camp Charles. ...but keep in mind, make sure it's not rainy, because that place gets muddy!!!

No level camp sites. Very poorly managed. People walking thru your campsite. Drunks!!! Barking dogs that management would do nothing about. Dogs charging you and your dog as you walk around. The dumpsite was blocked so we could not dump before we left. Trash everywhere. I had to clean up my area of trash. Bath house nasty. Definitely would not stay there again!--

We enjoyed our one night of camping here for the most part. We were in site 3 in the woods. Unfortunately, we had a rough night of sleep because of someone partying outside a camper (closest to start of field)with an extremely loud young woman until 3:15am. Having a big hike on the AT the next morning, we were hoping for a better night’s sleep. We loved our site though - very spacious, nice picnic table & fire ring. We felt the bathrooms were clean, but wish people did not look at us like we had two heads for wearing masks in the time of Covid in a public area. Also wonder how often the Port

I purchased an RV back in late-summer 2019. My first trip with it was to Camp Charles over Labor Day Weekend. The campground itself is pretty nice. Now, as I mentioned, it was Labor Day Weekend. I booked quite late (Was waiting to actually have the RV first) and was given a spot on the grass, on a slope, under a tree, between two full time residents. This was a VERY loud area of the campground during that weekend. Music on full, doors to the vehicles open. You could hear the music throughout the whole campground and I was directly across from the main source of the noise. This was a bit obnoxious

The new owners, Pam and Doug, are so hospitable! They were so friendly from the moment we arrived. I have stayed in the past and it was nice, but now the entire atmosphere is so much more relaxing. My 9 year old son and I came tent camping (water and electric site) for 5 days. The site was large and right on the pond. We had friends visit for the day to swim, fish, and sit around the camp fire almost every day. My son and his friends loved the pool. There are plenty of chairs available for sun bathing, and we had the entire pool to ourselves a few times during the week. We both made new friends
