Dr. Douglas Shindollar was born in Indiana and wanted to be a dentist since his second year of high school. The first person in his family to finish college, he went on to graduate second in his dental school class at the Indiana University. He then moved to Chicago to complete a two-year general practice residency program at Michael Reese Medical Center.
Everything Dr. Shindollar does is for the convenience of his patients! Every examination room is computerized so he have easy access to your files, records and x-rays. This allows him to quickly and accurately compare your oral health from visit to visit while keeping you informed and educated, too.

Dr. Shindollar and his staff all provided great friendly service. They talk about the options when you need work, giving you candid advice. They do a nice job - easy on both your mouth while working and fair to your pocketbook when finished. We like the "family practice" atmosphere rather than the "production line" service.

Caring, compassionate, gentle, easy in and out. Pleasant welcoming environment. Dr Shindollar has been our dentist forever and we would go no where else. Staff is consistent & persistent, accommodating in assisting to make our appointments that fit within our schedule. My son and I have been going to Dr. Shindollar for about ten years and he is awesome. There is NEVER a wait (and you’re actually in trouble if you are late because he runs such a tight ship!) and the hygienists are so friendly and professional. I moved away from Plainfield two years ago and he is definitely worth the drive! Thank you!
