Dialectical Behavior Therapy is a mental health treatment model designed for individuals who have difficulty tolerating painful emotions, and may cope in ways that are harmful or decrease self-confidence. DBT Center of Lawrence provides full Dialectical Behavior Therapy from a team of experienced clinicians.

We work with people in adolescence through adulthood to learn vital skills to promote inner wisdom, strong interpersonal connections, the ability to withstand strong emotions, and to create a valued life. DBT Center of Lawrence is the psychotherapy practice that delivers a transactional process wherein vulnerability, perseverance, and compassion in the therapeutic relationship lead toward self-empowerment.
Services
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a mental health treatment model designed by Marsha Linehan that is evidenced-based and effective for changing problematic behavior. We believe that people who engage in problematic behavior have learned ineffective ways of coping, which may provide short-term relief but have long-term negative consequences.
Our center is not equipped to respond to a crisis. If this is an emergency situation, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. If you are in crisis, contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-8255 or text HOME to 741741. Our offices are not fully staffed, as many therapists are working remotely.

This is a phenomenal team of therapists. I know many of them (Lyida, Juliet, Killian, Beth, Rachel, Brynne) from their time at Bert Nash when I was in the IOP program there. They were some of my favorites from that time and really embody everything that they teach. I have done RO DBT at this center and it was incredibly helpful. Empathetic and understanding staff willing to work with my schedule. I am able to speak with someone if something anxiety provoking pops up (as things in life do) who will help me navigate through. I found their DBT RO program very helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to start their own mental health journey.

I have tried to get an appointment for a month, and no one has returned my calls. BYRNNE Sent me an email.....saying she would get a hold of me in a few days.....but that never happened. And I contacted the main office again, nothing. Kind of scary action from a place that says they care about someones mental health. Shame on them. RESPONSE TO OWNER I have all the documentation proving that what you stated in not true. I called Bert Nash 8am Monday. Left a message. 20 minutes later, received a call back by 1:00. The SAME DAY I was in their office having my assessment completed. Incredibly nice
