From the very moment we walked into the front office there was a sense of welcome and a family feeling. Amanda and Mr. Maxwell immediately embraced us and let us know everything would be alright and they would take wonderful care of my mother Juanita Long Keener, which they did. He allowed us as much time as we needed to sit with my mom and even allowed her niece to come in and complete her hair and makeup. Very professional and helpful. Everything was beautiful and done very well. They call it the peoples funeral home for a reason, because you can tell they truly care for the people who walk in through there. We came to them after my sisters first choice funeral home on University dr and they said they were to busy to have any kind of service within the next 2-3 days, so that's when we called Peoples Funeral and talked to them and they were also extremely busy but said they wanted to help us out. People’s Funeral Home recently handled funeral needs for my uncle this past April. I worked closely with Essie and Clifton, who were both top notch.
