Thank you, John for your amazing hospitality! My husband and I spent a week tenting in a perfect spot by the river. Bathrooms/showers were clean, well- stocked and freshly painted. Fire rings and picnic table were in great shape. Thanks for delivering the firewood right to our site. We thought the permanent campers were very friendly and had great stories to share about the local area. The table tennis was fun, and the nature walk was very scenic. Next time, we hope to bring our fishing poles. We didn’t encounter any noise issues during our stay. We even had a nice visit with the friendly geese

After purchasing our new camper, we called White Oak River Campground to see if they had a spot for us on a monthly basis. John was so friendly and accommodating. The campground has beautiful views and really nice people. John is always available if you need to ask a question or some help. He can been seen passing the sites several times a day, just checking things out. We like that, since my husband isn’t always with me while I’m there. The area is safe for children to ride their bikes or play on the swings. It’s a short few minutes to the local Dollar General, and down the road there is

My husband travels for a living, this summer our 15 yr old son and I decided to tag along. After camping all over from Pennsylvania to Maryland we ended up in North Carolina for and extended stay and wouldn’t you know it I fell in love with a camper and purchased it! Without having a truck to haul nor a place to haul too!!! My husband called several campgrounds after speaking with John he was beyond helpful answered all our questions gladly and reassured our very new and rookie camper owners he would be there and walk us through the setting up process!!! Sure enough we got there not only was

This place was recommended to us by some friends; however, they hadn’t stayed at the campground for some time. Yeah, this place isn’t really for recreational RVers. The grounds are full of permanent residents who also utilize all the full hookup sites.
We had to watch our kids like hawks due to the amount of dogs at the campground. The trailer (permanent resident) next to us had a pit-bull mix tied up outside the entire time. Also, the dogs were consistently barking.
Unfortunately, the permanent residents don’t take much care of their areas, so the park is pretty rundown. We witnessed kids

The campground area and all is very nice and open. The “permanent/long time” folks are a bit loud at times and it’s hard to fall asleep and stay asleep if in a tent. Being right next to the highway isn’t all that great with loud vehicles passing by at random times. The camping/rv spots/sites are pretty close together. Overall, my kids and I somewhat enjoyed it for the most part.

The White Oak River Campground sits on a beautiful piece of property and houses my all time favorite disc golf course. 36 diverse holes that are fun for all skill levels. There are also several great fishing holes around the property with kayaks and canoes available for rent. This is a fun, family friendly environment with plenty of activities for the young and old! I can't think of any place I'd rather spend my money or time.

The campground is relatively close to Jacksonville and Camp Lejuene if your looking to get out of the city. Theres stores and places to eat real close by in case you forgot any necessities and the the campground is a good place to spend the day fishing on the White Oak River. The place is clean and the staff have always been super friendly and helpful to accommodate your needs. We will definitely keep coming here.

Great place for a mini vacay. The rates are affordable. The site host is very friendly. Electrical and water hookups are provided at many sites. For long-term campers, the site offers pump out service twice a month for $10/pumpout. There are hot showers in the main building. No. It is not marble floors or anything fancy like that. But you are camping. So for the whiners, this is not a fancy resort. It is a campsite. The toilet stalls do not have a door. But, they have a shower curtain for privacy. The bathrooms were as clean as can be expected from a campsite. As far as the clientele, there are

I enjoyed myself while fishing here. I went the 2nd weekend in March and the park wasn't crowded at all. The grounds were kept well with no trash. Beautiful place to take the family. NOTE: It is $5 per person to enter.
