Come stay with us at our new campground, just outside the historic village of Trenton, NC. This is a quiet and serene 30 acre setting off the beaten path. You are likely to hear owls at night, and you might see deer and wild turkeys if you keep your eyes open. It is located on an old farm with 3/4 of a mile of the beautiful Trent River running through it.

That's a nice inner tube float trip without even leaving the camp! There are many opportunities right here to experience nature in an unspoiled environment by camping, fishing, swimming, boating, or just observing wildlife. We offer large, clean bathrooms and plenty of hot water showers. The river is cool, clean, and beautiful.

This is a great spread out campground. Lots of River front and lots of shade. Mostly grass or Sandy areas no gravel that’s common at many other campgrounds.
You can set up wherever you want, which is awesome- for that reason there are no fire rings with adjustable grill grates provided nor are there picnic tables.
We found lots and lots of broken glass and rusty nails, it’s quite a shame because our kids typically run wild and barefoot down in the water and all around the sites. I thought it was perhaps from people throwing them in their fire over time and it leaves glass shards behind but

I hadn't been camping since I was a child and wasn't sure where to go. Well, I'm so glad my girlfriend and I chose Trent River Campground! Beautiful place, private, friendly and creative campers, and it's owned and run by hospitable people.

Although Kenny is a nice person. The website says it's 250 a month and reality it's 425 a month. Most sites do not have sewer. They do not have picnic tables. Some people nice, but others are questionable

Very Polite Owners. Prices are reasonable and outstanding for the extras like hikes through the clean forestry fishing is awesome the river runs all through. Beautiful romantic setting for young and elderly tent sites. Restrooms and showers are right along with competitors. Lots of wild life views. The rv areas are large lots and on river side or choose forestry view. The monthly residents are very polite and everyone pitches in to keep sites clean and safe for all campers. A must stay even for a weekend. And guarantee you'll be back. Thanks Kenny and Pat for your staff and your quality Ownership

If you want a few days or weeks or months of serenity......this is it. Took my daughter here for a weekend to get away from the world. I second guessed this place at first but said, what is the point in camping if it is easy? The website could use an update because some of it is off but that did not stop me from enjoying a great weekend in peace with mother nature.
The price was 15 a night for a tent up to three people. At first, I thought that was a bit up there but after sitting there the first night, I realized it was worth it. You would have to go in order to understand. If you need firewood

Nice and quiet and simple. Very fair pricing! I didn't get to experience the river when I stayed but I hear it's fantastic! Swimming, boating, and plenty of room for your dog or kids or you to play or run or hike! Great place to camp and enjoy the quieter side of Trenton and Jones county!

Nice campground, primitive sites are very plentiful..but you can have the modern conveniences as well. Full power and water hookups available for campers and those with tents as well..shower house and bathrooms also on site. Wifi was working when I went.....
Firewood is available on site from Kenny or bring your own. Local grocery shopping is available less than 10 minutes away.
The water has been low due to lack of rain, but made swimming and tubing great!

Sadly, want to support local facility but have reservations about recommending this area as use has changed from camping to mixed use including temporary residential.
Beautiful location on the river.
Shady primitive area. Nice hookup facility.
Great for children to ride, fish and play in the sand.
Suggestion: Bathrooms and showers need improving - quality and security.
Conflict: Monthly, term residents and recreational users do not share common goals, schedules, lifestyles. Suggest placing long-term residents in a separate area from recreational users.
Caution: Currently, I would not recommend

This is the perfect spot for a laid back camp experience (note that we didn't use the showers or toilets). We went for a night, met up with Kenny (who is a lovely and funny guy) and got a spot. We drove right up to it on the river and attached our hammock to two trees. We went for long walks and then made a fire and cooked up some sausages. It was convenient to have the car near us but still felt very campy with with fire, hammock sleep tent and river. The views of the river were awesome. There was a family reunion there with probably close to 50 people but Kenny found us a secluded spot and we

Wonderfully quiet. Very scenic and peaceful. Plenty of room. Not like most public campgrounds with people all around you. The forest animals are very vocal at night. We camped right on the river and my son just loved his first camping Trip! If you like primitive camping, this is it.
