Brian did an incredible job on my hair. I asked for the Devacut and I was able to get a spot on a short notice! Not only is Brian an amazing guy to talk to and make this experience super fun, but he gave me the hairstyle that I've been literally wanting FOR YEARS. He also advised me with good products, styled and conditioned my hair! I couldn't stop talking about it the entire ride back home! Please support this salon. The entire staff is super friendly and wonderful to talk to and as a curly hair girl, I give this place a huge thumbs up!

I called yesterday afternoon heartbroken with the terrible color job I got at another salon. Cassandra came in on her day off this morning to help me. Both Bryan and Cassandra were wonderful and made me feel confident from the beginning all would be well. I can't say enough good things about their "bedside manner" and their technical expertise. Salon Ivy deserves its reputation as the absolute best salon in Anchorage.

I had a phenomenal first experience at Salon Ivy. Mo went above and beyond to give me the exact look I was hoping for. I was also genuinely impressed by his shampoo service. He threw in a bit of a massage which was very relaxing. The owner Brian and Mo were both extremely knowledgeable. I had a lot of damage to my hair. Honestly let me gloat about this balayage I just got from Salon Ivy! I've always been super hesitant about people touching my hair but they did such a great job! I highly recommend them! They were so patient with me and super methodical when it comes to perfecting my hair. I appreciate them so much!

So I recently gave myself a COVID cut. Yep. It was bad guys, really bad. I had a curly mullet in the back there, and a big jagged mess at the front. The enforced isolation made me do it, that, and not having to be in public. I was pretty blasé about it until the husband tells me, you've got scissor marks in your curly mullet. It made me extremely self-conscious.

There are a couple reasons I am not giving this a 5/5. I wanted a cut and color, and because it was my first time getting color in my hair (from black to brown) I was a little nervous (but mostly excited for a change) and messaged the business through Yelp.

I decided to give this place another shot as Brian and Cassandra had been so apologetic and helpful in making sure I left the salon feeling good about my experience. Brian, the owner himself, cleared his schedule to give me a cut. He offered some education to me in why my hair breaks and discussed products that will help. He was timely and efficient, clarifying my request and haircut vision with me before picking up his scissors. The cut came out just the way I'd hoped. I appreciate Brian's dedication to his customer's happiness. Thank you salon ivy!

Fast, friendly service! I've been able to snag an appointment here pretty easily a week ahead (I'm always last min w my schedule). So far, I've gotten several hair cuts, highlights, deep conditions, and had my brows waxed. Loved all of my cuts (by two different ladies) and the deep conditioner did wonders restoring moisture and life to my strands. I wasn't thrilled a the highlights... they just seemed a little raccoon-ish and didn't blend well (especially as it was growing out). Admittedly I'm a little picky there though. I went to Salon Ivy and I don't think you'll find me anywhere else! I am not originally from Anchorage (Oregon) but I came here in 2016 and have put off getting my hair done until now! Sandra was my stylist and she did a phenomenal job. Her personality is worth five stars also She's personable and honest ... I told her what I wanted and she told me what she felt could happen, and she was spot on! I am more than satisfied with the outcome and I'm already inching to get back! The staff here is awesome!! You can tell they all get along like family. They also treat their clients with a mutual friendliness. I had the privilege of sitting in Rae's chair last Tuesday and let me tell you, this young lady knows her stuff!!! She made my hair feel as amazing as she made it look!!!

I am so glad Brian and I were able to link up! After some miscommunication was addressed, he was able to fit me in quickly. Brian prides himself on customer service, and was very apologetic for missing my message (had been marked "replied to" by mistake).

So I have always been skeptical about going to hair salons because it always ended up being a bad experience, but I decided to give Salon Ivy and chance because of the great reviews. Tia was my stylist and showed her a pic of a hair style that I wanted. She did a terrible job and it felt like she was trying to rush through the cut. It looked nothing like the picture and it was very choppy and my layers we not blended. I was so upset when I left and was about to buy a scissors myself and try to fix it. Instead I wanted to give salon ivy another chance and went in to talk to the owner, Brian.

I love this salon! I searched for this place via Yelp, and I found it due to high star ranking. I requested my make up and hair appointment, and the salon staff seriously responded to my request quickly as promised (within 24-48 hours). The receptionist was friendly and attentive to all of my silly questions. At the end of the day, I just wanted to look great for my Luke Bryan concert, and I got it!
