The Lake Pleasant Lodge

The room was very well designed and modern. Everything was in great shape. Heat was also perfect in the room and it was very nice that the heating unit was not noisy at all because it was radiant heat from the floor rather than using a noisy fan type wall unit like other hotels. Room was also absolutely spotless. When I say spotless, I mean absolutely spotless.

Needed someplace to stay for one night while I was in Speculator, NY. There aren’t many places open in the winter and some of the ones that are open are struggling with staffing.
Found Lake Pleasant Lodge on Google Maps and was intrigued. I had contacted two other places but they were not open or did not respond. I’m glad that I found LPL because I was very happy that their website showed online availability and had an online reservation system.
When I arrived I was surprised at how nice and clean the room was. Not your typical rundown Adirondack motel. My room appeared to have been recently

Carole is and excellent manager along with her staff are very accommodating to make sure your stay is comfortable, clean, and you have all that you need in your room. Snow storm came in and she worked hard with her little helpers to keep the walkways and parking lot clear and safe. Convenient location with many local attractions and activities especially for the outdoors enthusiasts. Highly recommend this place for any stay. Also there is a beach right next to the motel for summertime fun.

We have stayed at the Lake Pleasant Lodge twice, both times in winter. It’s a great spot! So cozy and warm feeling, and perfect for our family to explore the ADK and do some skiing. The current contact-less check-in was so easy and convenient. It’s impeccably clean and was quiet both times we’ve been there. Excellent location. We’d not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to anyone. Thank you!

Generous and comfy beds and a very clean room. There was firewood to make a fire in the lakeside fire pit and a bunch of Adirondack chairs to enjoy the lake view. It was a great place to stay. Check in/out was super easy and convenient.

Exactly what I needed as a base for my short Adirondacks hiking trip. Incredible lakefront views. Had all the accomodations I needed, and clean. Only negative was the thin walls to adjacent rooms. And I was happy to somehow snag a discounted rate.

Newly remodeled rooms. Newly remodeled floors & beds - nice and clean. Friendly people. a little small inside ( double queen room) but a very comfortable sleep - high beds may be difficult for older people to get into - very pretty location on the water, with gazebo and outdoor firepit -

We called at the last minute and were cared for in a very professional way. Our room was exceptionally clean and updated. We also really appreciated that the air conditioning system was whisper quiet. Highly recommend!

The location is good, but I encourage you to drive the extra hour to stay at a better inn in Gloversville or Utica. The walls are paper thin to the point where you can hear the parties going on outside and the appliances barely work (if at all). The rooms themselves are barely furnished, outrageously dilapidated, and not worth the nightly rate. You would be better off staying at a campsite if you absolutely had to stay in the area.

My daughter and husband and 3 daughters all had a great time at the lodge! They enjoyed the spacious and clean room and bathroom. They even had a mini refrigerator! Of course a big screen t.v. too. Ample closet space for clothes and other items.Very comfortable beds! Public beach is close by as well as their own beach. Very clean property and well maintained. Walking distance to food places,playground,once a week farmers market and craft show on Thursday in the summer. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a clean comfortable place to stay.
