The pandemic has devastated the cycling industry. Finding new bikes is almost impossible. Susan has been open about when my new bike will be available. They have a good selection of accessories and were able to get me new bike shoes and clips so I can continue to use my current bike until the more ones come in. Sean is knowledgeable and helped install my new clips and set my shoes perfectly. Local store with friendly staff.

A busy place on Saturday afternoon. They had exactly what I needed, with knowledgeable, quick service. We could have been in & out in about 10 mins if they didn't have so many great bikes to ogle and drool over!!

This business is corrupt and deals on eBay as rolling cycles. They send the wrong product and will not honor return even when it is their mistake. STAY AWAY!

Visited 4 local bike shops while looking for a new bike, This was the first shop the staff actually even looked at me. I was greeted within seconds of walking and and we test ridding a bike less than 5 mins later. Very pleased with them so far. I'll be back to get my wife a better bike soon I'm sure. I plan to recommend them to several coworkers.

I discovered the Touring Cyclist when I spent the summer traveling to St. Louis to work. I was training for an Ironman and needed a place near the airport to leave my bike over the weekends. We worked out a fair deal for weekend storage. Over the course of the summer, I got to know the family that owns the place and they are great and really care about the cycling community. Since I was in the shop frequently, I got to see the care that they put into their work and to ensuring that people get the perfect bike. They also did some work on my bike and it was very well done! Spacious, sunny, and well organized, this bike shop seems more like an automobile showroom. Their selection is extensive, their prices reasonable, and the owners, Sean and Susan, are extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. No high pressure here! They answered all my questions thoroughly and let me test-ride a couple of bikes. I am going to continue shopping around to get more of a sense of models and pricing--it's been a few decades since I last bought a bike--but when it's time to buy, I am going to return to The Touring Cyclist.

I'm visiting the area for work so I checked out the local Craigslist for bikes and I came across a couple adds for this shop. I like Fuji bikes and they advertised good deals on last year's models so I stopped by. The shop workers are friendly and professional. Robert came right over and asked what I was looking for. I checked out a couple bikes in the parking lot and settled on a 2018 Fuji Absolute. They got the bike in working order and installed a bike lock and computer in the shop while I chatted with my sales rep and another worker. If you're shopping for a quality ride and great service you

I'm visiting the area for work and I found this place from their ad on Craigslist. I walked in and right away Robert, one of the floor reps, came over and asked me what I was looking for. I test rode a couple bikes in the parking lot and settled on a 2018 Fuji Absolute. The entire staff was friendly and professional and they looked out for my interests as a rider. I would 10/10 return to this shop if I lived in the area. If you've read poor reviews from the past, consider giving them a try because they have changed. A+

Often it seems like buying local means much more expensive prices than buying online, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that The Touring Cyclist actually had very reasonable pricing. I went in looking for a new bike for my wife, and Sean very helpfully answered my questions and made recommendations based on what I wanted. Later that day I came back with a larger vehicle to finish the purchase of my wife's new bike and also get a tune up on my own bike. Susan ran the paperwork and was very friendly to chat with while Sean performed a final check on the new bike. It was a pleasant experience

I have been in this store a few times. I even bought a bike from them in 2000. I bought a bike part from this store yesterday. I found out the part did not work for me so I just returned the part today.

The owner of the store wanted to charge me a 10% restocking fee. He said it was policy. My wife said, I can walk the part over to the rack. I argued it didn't seem right. He finally did not charge us the 10% restock fee.

I'm posting this to warn customers about this restock policy.

Really great bike mechanics and service! Staff is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. I needed my bike fixed in a bind as my group was touring through. The mechanic spent a ton of time with me and he never made me feel like a dummy or rushed. Prices were beyond reasonable. This is an excellent shop!

I have never really purchased a "real bike" before and have been unhappy with my current bike. I walked in and after talking with the owner about what I wanted and my price range, he had 3 bikes in mind for me (as I'm ridiculously tall). He found a perfect bike for my needs that fit me and I was very satisfied with the service, attention and even his willingness to work with me on the pricing. Super excited about my new bike!! Thanks!!

I have lived in Saint Louis for some time now and have been interested in bike for most of that time. In my search for a road bike I re-stumbled upon this faithful friend in cycling. I used to go to the location off of West Florissant before it closed.

I went in thinking that this place would be as great as the other location used to be but boy was I wrong. I think they have lost so much business that it has forced them to not carry much stock. I did a quick walk through looking for some higher end carbon fiber framed bikes and couldn't see anything.

Clearly the front runner in the contest for the worst bike shop in STL!

I have been to this shop twice, once to buy a pair of mountain bike gloves that were priced well above what any other shop in the area was asking, but I was pressed for time and the location was convenient, so I payed the price. The second time I took a bike to have a 20 minute job performed (again the location was convenient) and it ended up taking 2 1/2 weeks to get my bike back!
Not once did I receive a call to inform me of the status of the bike nor did they call when it was finished!
To make matters worse, when I

The first bike I purchased on my own came (with my painfully earned lawn-mowing money) was from here, and I continued to fuel my cycling hobby to the addiction it is today. This local chain has stores around the area with a knowledgeable staff who rides, and can help you find a ride you're comfortable with, and service it as you need in the future. They have a warehouse sale every year which is a perfect time to get good discounts on bikes.
