Services
For infants and toddlers, the dental visit may consist of a quick examination and a trip to the treasure chest. As children are able to tolerate preventive services such and dental cleanings and fluoride treatments, we will introduce them to these procedures while they watch their favorite shows on the monitor above the chair.
Dr. Clinton Callahan and the entire team in our Colorado Springs office go to great lengths to make sure all the kids and teens we treat enjoy their visits here. When you schedule a cleaning or other treatment for your child, you know we'll use the latest advancements in children's dentistry, delivered with thoughtful, compassionate care.
Nitrous Oxide: We use Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) very routinely in our office for restorative and surgical care. Nitrous oxide is exceptionally safe and effective for mild anxiety. It also suppresses the gag reflex and is helpful for pain control. Conscious Sedation: For patients with more extensive dental needs or greater anxiety, we may consider using conscious (moderate) sedation.
If it is determined that your child needs restorative treatment, don't worry! We go to great lengths to make sure that your child is comfortable during their procedure. Most cavities can be restored with tooth-colored fillings (composite resin) that blend with the surrounding tooth structure, making them nearly invisible.
A cavity doesn't mean your child has to lose a great looking smile. Dr. Callahan hasn't placed a silver-mercury amalgam for years. Not because of possible toxicity concerns, but because modern dental restoration material is so aesthetically pleasing. Tooth colored fillings make it possible for your child's fillings to look completely natural.

Dr. Callahan, Johnnie (I’m sorry if I spelled your name wrong!), the wonderful assistant who held my daughters hand today during an extraction and root canal (I’m sorry I didn’t catch your name), Heather at the front desk, the entire staff…just exceptional!! What a compassionate and genuinely caring team! From scheduling, to the waiting area, to procedures, to after care, to after hours help (Dr. Call-thank you for calming a slightly neurotic mom down over a cavity! Lol), to billing…this place is just tops. Recommend 1,000%

My daughter has extreme anxiety thanks to another dentist in town. We decided to try Springs Pediatric Dental care and were not disappointed! Dr.Callahan was so nice and patient with her. He didn’t force her to get X-rays or anything like that, just peaked in her mouth to see what needed to be done. The assistants were also really sweet and kept my daughter calm and distracted. My daughter needed to go under anesthesia for some work done and that’s when they got her x-rays and cleaning done as well, which is greatly appreciated! I also appreciate that he answered any and all of my questions

Best Pediatric Dental office. To start front office staff was nice and efficient. Secondly, I was able to book 4 children within two weeks of calling. This was the quickest dental visit ever!! We were in an out of the office within an hour. This has NEVER happened before. The dental hygienists were great! And, last but definitely not least, best Dentist ever! So personable, not prestigious, NOT a salesman in trying to recommend every treatment available. I cannot say enough about this office. Truly the best Pediatric Dental office I have ever been to. Amazing! Love Dr. Callahan and the entire staff. He has provided us with emergency after hours care, pulling/teeth removal, and routine maintenance - all with great success and precision. He’s truly the best in the business. The staff is always friendly, and keep to the schedule (little to no wait time ever).

We love Dr C and all of his staff. The front desk lady is always nice and friendly. My daughter's hygienist is so great at explaining what she's doing to help calm any fears and takes amazing notes to remember what worked for the next time. Dr C is patient and friendly, but honest about what he sees and anything that may cause us trouble in the future. They all take great care of my daughter!
