Thirty years ago, founder Butch Wainscott opened his first restaurant with the intention of it to be "a gathering place for all!" Today, his children continue to deliver on that promise and execute Butch's attention to fine detail whether you dine at The Greyhound or Tousey House Tavern or attend a handcrafted event in the newest venture, The Marian.
In this class you will learn the fundamentals of calligraphy & gain the knowledge you need to advance in this skill. Jen from Jen K. Calligraphy will be going over basic strokes, lowercase alphabet, & word forming. Join us for a fun fall workshop with Bloomed Roots at the Marian! Each attendee will get a small/medium pumpkin and selection of succulents to create their arrangement!
The Marian is a beautiful historic home dating back to 1886. The home is filled with original blown glass windows making for perfect natural light photography. The original carriage house barn sits right behind the house and our beautiful green lawn makes a wonderful back drop for outside photography.
Contact us to schedule studio time in hourly increments. Photographers may bring clients in for mini sessions, boudoir, engagements, and more! You have access to our full venue with unique rooms, our carriage barn and any outside grounds. Your studio fee includes the use any of our props or decor within the house or we are happy to coordinate special items for you to use.

I'll make sure to ruin all future events for folks that book at this place. Being a resident of Burlington and living a block away, I've had to deal with an outdoor wedding today and listen the music until 1am. Happy for bride and groom but the event organizers should have been more curtious to the folk living around the facility.
