It really says something when the best part of dealing with the aftermath of a disaster is talking to your insurance agent!
Let's start with the insurance on my house. When I went to purchase my insurance on my house they helped me build an insurance plan that made sense. I knew I was in the right hands when I said "I don't think I need that much money toward jewelry coverage" and they said "so let's reduce the coverage!" Happy to save me money where it made sense.
Then Ida came and we had taken on massive water damage in our basement. Talking with our insurance agent was not stressful, in fact

I’ve been working with Joelle at State Farm for the past year. When we first moved into the area, she quickly and efficiently helped us with our renters policy. She also seamlessly helped us get our car insurance and now has provided us with homeowners insurance. She is responsive, knowledgeable, kind and thorough. For over twenty years, Our agent, Rosemary, has been an incredible help to our family. I am a VERY disappointed customer. I've been working with Nancy Luther for almost 5 years now and customer service went from great in the beginning to completely NASTY and DOWNRIGHT UNPROFESSIONAL in the past year. While we are trying to expand our business to the west coast which caused some confusion for our business policy, she just said "it was… our fault" (I quote her) that we didn't give her all the information.
