Culwell & Son has been staying sharp since it first opened in 1920 under the ownership of W.E. Culwell. Since then, three generations of master men's clothiers have followed in his footsteps. Mike Culwell, W.E.'s grandson, currently runs the business. Mike's passion for classic menswear and one-on-one service personifies the family tradition.

Culwell and son has the highest quality of service in all departments, specifically the tuxedo department. I recently bought a tuxedo and accidentally left it at the cleaners the day off a party. Culwell had me a tuxedo within hours of the party and also gave me half off since I had just recently bought a tuxedo from them. Very satisfied!!

I had a black-tie dinner to attend and needed to rent a tuxedo for the event. After a bit of research, I found that Cullwall & Son offered the same tuxedo rentals that places like Men's Warehouse and others but at a lower price. Skeptical, I walked in and discovered they have a section of their store just devoted to tux rentals and similar products. The gentleman who helped me took all the measurements and ensured he got me into something well-fitted and affordable. Pick up and drop off were a breeze! Excellent men's clothing store. I bought a pair of Alden boots from them and they made the process incredibly easy. They had to order them directly from Alden and it was painless. They even threw in an extra pair of laces and some leather conditioner as well. If you're looking from fine Alden shoes and boots in Dallas, this is the place to go.

I just wanted to say Thank You to Culwell & Son's Tuxedo rental group. I mixed up my and my father's tuxedoes and did not discover it until 55 minutes before I supposed to be in pre-wedding pictures. I was unable to reach my father and panicking I went to the store and they were calm and collected and were able to provide another set of pants, shirt and coat very quickly. They must have a large in-store inventory because I am a non-standard size. I made it to the photography session with minutes to spare. Culwell and Son is absolutely phenomenal! We are using their tuxedo rental for our wedding next week and everything from the time you enter the doors is exceptional. The customer service we received from Giovanny and Chase has been all we have raved about to our friends and family. They helped us to carefully select the best colors and individual pieces to each suit and tuxedo to best match our wedding palette and handled every change we called in for with ease. Be careful! On 3-9-21 I called the store to inquire about a special they had of two suits and two shirts for $1095. When I called I asked if they were suits off the rack and altered, the person on the phone told me no they were "made to measure". I asked again to insure that was for the $1095 price and he said it was, two made to measure suits and two shirts. On 3-10-21 I arrived after driving an hour from fort worth to have them tell me for that price you get a suit off the rack. I was very upset that I just drove an hour and was lied to. My fiancé urged me to write a review for Culwell & Son. Located in University park, this is his go to place in Dallas for quality suit pants and custom shirts. He gets his purchases tailored here and they always do a good job as well. The staff has always been helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. Prices are fair for the quality of clothing. They also have Alden shoes here, which are hard to find elsewhere. My fiancé was able to get a nice pair of classic black Alden work shoes here.

After spending the last two days searching for a couple of suits for my 6'4" husband, we were saved by Culwell's custom suit program. Honestly in all of Dallas none to be found that were what we were looking for. Comparable programs at other stores were three times the price.

The close location to SMU gives this place a cool college town vibe. The parking can be a mess, but luckily they have a parking czar who will let you in if you let them know you're going to Culwell & Son.
This place is awesome when it comes to shoes. They carry Alden and they have A LOT in stock. They also carry a full line...of Bill's Khakis. When I say FULL LINE...I mean, pretty much everything. I should also mention they carry Southern Tide too. It's for a younger crowd, but their polo shirts are the BEST out there.
